Hi All really hope i put this up in the right place, as i tried looking and this one seemed to be the most logical choice...

Also i did try using the search function to try find if this issue was mentioned before but didn't find any, so...

The problem is my little digital thermometer screen is working i can see the time and what is meant to be the temp however the temp is permanently stuck in the negative numbers and when it does eventually come out of the negative values it never goes higher then 2 or 3*C most of the time its stuck on "-30" my question is can this be repaired and if so how? Ihave checked the temperature pick-up sensor behind the front bumper and it seems fine (no dirt or obvious cracks in the housing or wear on the wires).

Any advice or help will be greatly appreciated of course...

I've got a similar issue with mine. Weirdly enough it actually started in winter. The gauge would show -21 or -25, or -30 very randomly. Sometimes if I turned the engine off then on again it would be ok. Its ok these days but its basically the temp sensor which has gone or is going faulty. Its apparently behind the bumper on mounted to or behind the crash bar from the research which I did.

Just noticed that you already checked the sensor! That'll teach me to read the thread fully! I would say get another sensor mate. Was it easy to get to the sensor by the way?

yeah in my case it was dangling down behind the lower front centre grill as the little clip was worn and wouldn't stay clipped into the little hole on the crash bar but what i did was cable tie it to the top right hand corner of the grill itself with one of those heavy duty cableties, but i am still able to slide the sensor in and out of the cable tie if need be

So if the sensor is in its correct position can it be reached without having to take the bumper off?

yes you can even see it through the front grill, if you know what you're looking for
