Hey guys supercharged Lexus recently its ran fine for about 4 weeks, now whenever I go over 80 mph it seems to go into some sort of limp mode? Running patrik black box and bypass and ssqv, the throttle just goes all fluffy and you can still drive but with very little power, I pull over turn car off and on again and its cured till I go over 80mph again???? Any help much appreciated I think it must be a sensor?

I've never heard of this issue where it goes to limp mode at 80mph. The only thing that you can really check is the tension on the bypass cable, whenever I first installed my supercharger it went to limp mode whenever I buried the throttle. To fix it the bypass cable at rest must have a bit of slack, a fingers width is the general measurement.

Something like this is right. If it's not that then I would check your connections to the black box, or contact Patrick as the box may be playing up, although I've never really heard of his version giving problems unlike the TTE and FCD versions.

Cheers for the reply, im running a mini bypass valve controled by vacuum line, the bypass seems to be running good and dumping air when it should, its just really strange that anything over 80 trips it into limp mode, I have no engine warning lights on dash either when it does it, will have to check wiring and go from there,

Running standard injectors which I thought would be fine, also still running standard manifold too, sometimes if you accelerate straight past 80mph and carry on its ok but if you sit around 85mph thats when its most likely to trip? When it dies you can only use about 10 percent of the throttle and no warning lights, very strange, could it be map sensor?

Probably not giving you enough fuel. Stick bigger injectors in and see if it still does it.

Yeah fixed problem a while back, I originally mounted the mini bypass valve just before the elbow into the throttle body, it must have been to close to the trottle body cause when I moved it across the engine bay towards the charger it completely fixed the problem, I can only guess that the sudden drop in pressure was tripping out a sensor somewhere, runs sweet now!!
