I know i have another ECU post up but this is really confusing me.

I bought a IS200 (Auto) which is supercharged, there car is a mess and i have taken the supercharger off to put onto my is200 (manual) in the process of removing the electronic HKS FCD which is to allow the supercharger to work i also found a Dastek unichip installed and wired in also. I would have thought that that teh unichip would do the work that the FCD thing does anyway and not sure where to go from here.

Original plan was to install supercharger on my car and eventually uprate boost , pulley, injectors etc in stages along with fitting a piggyback or standalone to manage it all. But now im not sure what i should do, should i plumb in the Unichip along with the FCD to keep the same as i found it on the other car, will the map work? will it be different between an auto and a manual?

I really want to get my head around remapping and tuning this car up properly, i've read up about remapping the do's and dont's and what the stages are. but im still lost on if this setup will work? Also it has been mentioned that even a piggyback ecu on the is200 wont last as the is200 ecu will relearn and counteract the piggyback.

I know someone will say to get a professional to do it, but i want to learn, im not even to worried about the engine as i have a complete spare with lower miles if i really do manage to balls it up.

Cheers

most people throw away the Uni chip moley had one up for sale for so long I think it grew legs and walked to the bin..

if you want to go down the road of an ECU get a Emanage or similar and play that way mate
