Sills and arches starting to bubble and rust on my IS, going to have to repair it but not sure how to go about stopping it from happening again! any tips?

only way i know of is to sand them back and repaint, i know you can use an inhibitor to stop it spreading, but it will obviously still be bubbled

Cars rust with age unfortunately, if they sand it back enough it should stop it, but the alternative is cut out the rot and put new metal in

It doesn't look serious enough for the rust to have gone deep but there's no telling until it gets sanded back, me and a mate are going to give it a go so fingers crossed there wont be any welding gear coming out.

will give rust bullet a go and hope it does the job.
