Hi all ,
Just a question on replacing the oem manifold with a de-cat manifold and the emissions on a mot/nct ?
Here is a pic of a manifold on eBay are these made to fit or waste of time !

they are ok and generally pass the MOT with the main cat still in place

I just heard that they actually have been known to reduce power ?? That can't be right is it , surely removing the pre cats would increase exhaust flow therefore increasing efficiency ?

Yeah I read somewhere that a guy stuck a katana? manifold on and lost power. This was years ago though. I'm just gonna cut my cats off and weld some pipe in.

I'm getting a stainless steel cat back exhaust system being made. Just thought since they are tinkering with her exhaust system why not single manifold and cat pipe

I've already got a JapSpeed cat back exhaust, just never got round to chopping the cats, gonna do it when I supercharge it. I was told at the weekend that aftermarket manifolds such as Toyosport ones require cutting in order to fit the supercharger cradle.

Ha ! That's exactly what I'm getting done on mine, refurb my SC kit including nuts and bolts !! Thanks for the tip

Sensors along the exhaust system is there alot to it ? I know nothing regarding the setup or tricking the sensors, I have numerous posts but no conclusive notes just opinions? Might of missed a early post regarding this if anyone can help.
