I have a fiberglass front spoiler which seems to be chipped off easily. I will have to repaint it when the weather gets better but can anybody suggest a better way to prevent stone chips?

Are those anti-chip paint spray any good?
Mazda CX7. 2.3 Turbo MPS. Corksport air intake. Turbo Smart dual port.

To be honest this is a common problem, also it worth noting that Lexus use a very soft paint.
You may try buying a platic see through bra for the front of the car this could help stop the stone chips.

I think Tango used ceramiclear for the clear coat and was quite happy with the results.

Clear vinyl is another thing that's used to help prevent stone chips, bit like a body wrap but clear? used to be able to buy kits off ebay to do the front of your bonnet or bumpers for not a lot of money, but does need doing in a clean environment so you don't get any dust under it when applying it? to form it round the curves you heat it with a hair dryer so it shrinks to fit Smile

could be due to poor preperation before painting, see this often on bonnets and such.

could be. I do need to fill the bigger craters with body filler, sand and prime again.

Could it be poor casting with the fiber glass, it sounded brittle when I got it.

if its just stone chipping too easily and not cracking etc id say its more down to the prep and paint work. is it factory finish?
