May have been flashed.....
Was on the A406 just past hangar lane last week when an ambulance came up behind me, pulled left to let it past and then pulled back in straight behind it. Straight after I did this we both went through past a speed camera, obviously he was speeding but I wasn't.
However, I'm not sure if I just saw something, but I think I saw a flash in my rear view mirror from the camera, but it was after the ambulance had gone through and I was in the "zone" over the dashed white lines :crying:
Am I going to get done for the speeding ambulance if that is the case? Is there anything I should do or should I just ignore it unless something actually comes in the post?
I would flee the country
All you can do is wait and see if anything comes in the post and take it from there
Doesn't it flash twice ? So if it got triggered by the ambulance you would probably only be on the second pic, not the first one ? If so, they would see it wasn't you that triggered it ?
i must agree with Stevie here
Just wondered how it could have flashed me, the ambulance was not really going fast enough to have left the camera zone before the second flash..........fingers crossed there's nothing to worry about.
I answered this thread somewhere else for you...
According to an old Top Gear I vaguely remember they showed it took a car doing at least 175mph before it was out of shot on the camera pics. Seems a bit above an ambulance's top speed to me, so you should be ok
they also just flash sometimes, ive seen plenty flash on the other side of the road when noone is even driving past.....you should be ok mate!!
doesn't matter if u did get flashed if you weren't speeding, the white lines are specifically measured so they can work out the speed of travel between the camera shots, so they will have the shot with both your car and the ambulance and they can work out the speed of both vehicles to tell that it was the ambulance that triggered the camera and not your car
