Camcon - experiences?
Camcon - experiences?
Hi all
Has anyone here tried the camcon VVT-I controller. Apparently you can also adjust AFR in addition to VVT-I kick in. It has been said that the IS200 runs quite lean on top rpm's with the supercharger.
So i was really wondering if it's possible to cure the problem with this unit. Not too expensive IMHO.
I would have thought you'd be better off with a proper piggyback ECU, which would let you do more.
Not sure about the VVT-i thing, because it's a continuous effect on Toyota engines, it's not like Honda's VTEC which does kick in at a particular point. The kick-in that you can feel on the IS200 around 4500rpm is actually the flap in the inlet manifold opening up.
you cant adjust the AFR as far as i know, thats a different box i think
According to their webpage, looks like you do have some AFR adjustment ? Looks like a very crude adjustment compared to a proper piggyback ECU IMHO. Though that's still better than a black box/FCD.

Is that what Ahmet had on his IS300 that I was very poorly explaining at the Ace meet as minimal upgrades to get a decent power increase?
