Just been out in the car and put my foot down a bit and then played on the private roundabouts Smile
but when I returned home (about 1mile from roundabout) my car was smoking.
But when left to idle for 30-40seconds this dispersed.
Just been out and startedthe car and nothing.
No smoke or strange noises just everything as it was.
What could this of been or could I of caused some damage???

I wasn't giving it much grief tho.
Roads are wet so slipping wheels is virtually stress free.

But the TC is still cutting in.

My 1st MR2 turbo did that sometimes after a spirited drive, the current one doesn't. Could be over fuelling if the map is slightly off.

Doesn't blue smoke mean oil is being combusted as well as fuel? If it went away though it might not be an issue, unless it's the start of a problem?

Yeah blue smoke is oil into the combustion chambers. Common causes of this on those engines are valve stem seals or turbo seals. Normally if it were valve stem seals you'd get blue smoke on startup which went away when driving. If it were turbo seals you'd get blue smoke when lifting off after high boost (i.e. changing gear during a power run). I can't believe it would be turbo seals as the turbo was freshly built a few thousand miles ago!

What is on your list of things left to fix on the car, as it may be one of them that's the cause.

Oil leak, replace dv, set back up, and I think that's about it??

Just a bit confused as to why it smoked 1 minute not the next???
Certainly wasn't pushed as much as before. Didn't even raise a bar.
Only thing different was the roundabouts

oh another bit to do is remove the TC as I think it's still trying to kick in.
Also when you try put your foot hard down from the start it misfires and won't let you set off as quick Sad

Well it does overfuel a lot.
If driven semi hard it's shooting flames and popping thro exhaust.
It's also doing around 15mpg Confusedhock:
