Can i switch a throttle body from my car a 00 IS200
to another IS200 which is drivind badly.
Will i have to recode or reset anything when i refit it
to my own car??

you can, but in theory you should reset the ecu to learn the new throttle position sensor values

Is there any trick for resetting ecu or is it a lexus job
the other car is after getting a 2nd hand engine fitted from
an auto and im now after buying it for parts
all i really want to know is the engine any good

Pretty sure there's no trick to it - you just pull a couple of the fuses for 30 seconds (can't remember which ones but a quick search on "ecu reset" will find it for you)

correct dave, think its the EFI and ETCS fuses

reset ecu. got car moved still driving badly
will switch over coils and see if there is any difference

atleast i have the parked where i want now to take stuff off it
