was reading the thread about oil levels and was wondering how much oil should you have if you run an oil cooler kit. i guess that having more oil in when running an oil cooler kit is good but how much extra should you have in there. normal filling is 4.5lts but the cooler takes about a 1 ltr at a guess. so any ideas would be good for reference

Sounds like a interesting question Jay it not like a engine where you have a level and you should not go above or under.

Dimis how do you know the level or does it say in the instruction on the oil cooler, sorry if i being thick lol

If I was to hazard a guess I would say fit the cooler, run he engine for a few seconds to pump oil around, check the level and repeat 3 or 4 times until your dip stick reads correctly?

You could also fill the cooler before fitting leaving the lines empty so its not that messy of a job.
