New to Lexus IS200
New to Lexus IS200
I have just bought a Lexus is200 SE 2004 after having Vauxhalls virtually for the past 15 years. Theres no comparisson and i will never go back to :Shooting:Vx !.
Having owned my is200 now for 3 months is there anything i need to look out for. I want to do a service on it soon so oil/plugs/filters will be changed. I have swapped out the original filter for the K&N lifetime filter (oiled one) already. It is coming up to 70k and still sounds sweet as a nut - no strange noises at all but is there anything i should look out for that anyone knows of? Is there anything else i should change while servicing it? Also what oil would people recomend go in? Thanks
Thanks for the info regarding the oil and belts. is it worth getting all 3 belts done at the same time?
This model has the VVTi engine - does it actually have a cam belt? - might sound like a daft question ...

Welcome mate.
if the other belts need doing then do them, otherwise just do the timing the other can be done fairly easily.

welcome to the club, IS200's are fairly bullet proof and surprisingly simple to work on:tongue_smilie:
