IS Chassis
Random question but is it true that the IS/Altezza has the same chassis as the AE86?

The is/ altezza is much longer and much wider.
So I doubt it mate.

But the Ford Capri shared the same chassis as the Ford Mustang of the age (or previous shape)
The same guy designed the AE86 and IS/Altezza I believe...
Fair enough, that's what it said on GT5 so wanted to know if it was true or not?

the mustang and the capri were the same size when they shared the same chassis...
they down sized the mustang to fit the capri chassis..

found this while google surfing....
The engineering work was led by Nobuaki Katayama, who was responsible for the AE86 project

I did find a few things on the net that suggested that the IS uses a modified version of the AE86 chassis - if it's not true though it seems weird that GT5 would say that........
