Planning a trip to Miami later in the year, where are good places to stay? Been thinking of booking an apartment rather than a hotel, but these seem to be spread out all over the place so really have no idea where I should be looking..........

i've heard mixed things on miami mate, think it's one of those parts things where some are really nice and some are horrible. Apparently it's pretty expensive though

Headed over that way a few years ago. Landed in Miami but drove to the other coast & stayed in Naples. As Dan says there are nice parts & some real dodgy areas :Bazza::Shooting: we noticed even from driving through. Whereas Naples is really nice Cool

Cheers

Bobby was that a long drive from Dallas:lol:

Naples and around the keys is nice but not sure what Pathiban wants to do while he is there?
If you want a drive holiday try the Great Sur in Califonia you could arrive in San Fran and end at Grand Cannon.
Not that it needs mentioning, but Route 1 from Monterey to Morro Bay is a scenic drive that tops them all. Beginning south of Monterey, the highway takes you along the Big Sur where the Santa Lucia Range meets the Pacific Ocean. This scenic drives offers an abundance of marine life, sandy beaches and breathtaking views. In general, Route 1 from San Francisco to San Diego is a drive worth-taking and renting a convertible is recommended or large 4x4 or a harley

Not exactly sure yet..........as those on *** know we have a place in Orlando that we're heading to later in the year, been out to Florida a few times now but never been down to Miami so thought we'd take the drive down and see what's there...........

So essentially no real plan, but staying somewhere on the beach is probably on the cards and then having a look around.

As above mainly trying to avoid the dodgy areas so wanted to know if anyone's been and where to avoid.....
