If you're going for actual removal I've found the Menzerna range to be very good on Jap paints. You don't want anything too OTT as most of our paints are soft (mine is VERY soft).

If you're just looking to 'fill' the swirls, my long time fave is still Autoglym Super Resin Polish.

Or if you've got a black car, the PoorBoys Black Hole works a treat.

i found the ultimate compound quite easy to use but like most things like this don't use it in direct sunlight as it loses it's effectiveness, is best used when the paintwork is cool to the touch

Swirl marks are my personal hell. Black hole and a DA I find the best but due to the size of my car, closed eyes are just as effective.

I'm going to have to think about attacking the swirls on my car at some point soon - going to be starting with the brand new unopened bottle of super resin polish that I have sitting in the garage (:tongue_smilieSmile and then go from there!

One thing though, do these pads (like the ones below) make much difference compared to just using a normal cloth or applicator?
