Eagle in flight
Taken at Whipsnade
One of the dog taken with my new Nikkor 35mm lens
I'm pretty dense when it comes to photography, so can't really comment on the photo of your dog as it looks the same quality i would get from my camera(im sure i am wrong though!) but the one of the eagle-fantastic. not an easy photo to get i imagine:thumbup:
Awesome shot of the eagle mate, @ mr tubby if you look at the dog pic the head is in focus and the rear of the shot isn't!

Thanks guys, the eagle shot I was chuffed with, it's difficult trying to pan moving animals/objects with the lens I have, it's not the fastest out there!

Fujifilm s2950 i think, haven't used it for a while-after 2 months of buying the camera I went horse riding in bulgaria, crossed a river, horse stumbled through some reeds and threw me off. camera=dead, repair quote was £200, write off!
So I didnt even get much chance to learn about different aperture settings, etc.
Be good to see some more examples though!
That's a bridge camera you have, I started with a Fuji one and got some very good photos when I took it out of auto. Mine didn't like red though, it always processed as pink!
It can be very difficult to get the bokeh effect with a bridge camera though. You normally have to zoom right in to get the background to blur. These are a few I took with my old Fuji bridge camera. I had to stand quite far back and zoom right in on these ones, around 200mm I think as the aperture only went down to around f4.5.
This one was taken with my new lens on my DSLR at 35mm and an aperture of f1.8 and I was sitting next to the glass.
