04-12-2019, 06:55 PM #1Hi might be a stupid question but im going to detail my engine bay and spray all the plastics a Bright Candy purple(Not sure Yet) but it will look wierd with blue silicone pipe and im finding it hard to find the silicone pipes sizes i need in purple, can you paint them or is it just not possible or will it just look like a epic Fail?

04-12-2019, 07:15 PM #2I was under the impression silicon hosing expands and contracts so paint will crack, and most likely melt anywhere where it's close to hot metal. I had to have my purple cut to my cars spec's.

But i want Samco ones later on as the colour is much nicer

05-12-2019, 10:51 AM #4The Samco ones are a better colour than mine, mine are SFS Performance .. I had to have them cut as they don't stock standard cut packs for old cars in purple But i want Samco ones later on as the colour is much nicer

I thought the same, unless you get a high temp rubberised paint - but the expense of that might negate the need for painting them in the first place.
