IS200 sport on 16's?
IS200 sport on 16's?
I've gone and bought a silver "51" IS200 sport.
It's come to me with with some reasonable condition aero wheels fitted, Thing is, I reckon that as they need a refurb anyway they'd look pretty nice in black.
Now to the question,
I need some temporary wheels to put on it to keep it mobile while I clean up the aero's and get them powder coated. I've been watching Ebay but as 17's and 18's are an upgrade to lots of other cars the prices are a tad on the high side (For something I may only use for a month at most).
Toyota or Nissan OEM 16's tend to be a fair bit cheaper, But would they fit over the callipers?
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

the calipers are all the same on the IS, and the lowest spec "S" model only came with 16'2.

As above the base model came on 16s, just that most people bought the SE as it didn't cost a huge amount more but came with a much higher spec.

spud1973I hate to say it, but after seeing that picture of silver with black wheels I'm not as sure about going for it now. I'm not saying it looks bad, It's just not grabbing me like I thought it would.

I just Googled for pictures of silver IS200's on anthracite grey wheels, And even that isn't floating my boat.
I'm not sure what colour to go for now.
I'm open to ideas here...... Anyone got any pictures of silver IS200's on aero's that are refinished in a non standard colour?

11-01-2020, 09:43 AM #10I was undecided like you, but you cant work with pictures. I've got silver with anthracite wheels and i think it's the bees knees. Just get them professionally done.
