Hi from Maidstone.
by daulex, 12-06-2020, 08:11 AM
Hey folks,

Obviously new here, I go by daulex on the interwebs and my real name is Kirill.

I drive a 2006 Mitsubishi colt czt, currently running at around 180 bhp, just ticked over 100k miles (I've done over 40k in the last 1.5 years).

Here she is a couple days ago http://instagram.com/p/NObNZBO_Ua/
Here's one of the cool things this baby can do: http://instagram.com/p/NS17DJO_Yf/ (47.7mpg - this morning, 40 mile commute from maidstone to bermondsey in london)

http://instagram.com/p/M_p7qDO_bR/ Smile

I'm currently living in Maidstone and working in Old street in London, commuting by car, walking and cycling.

It's almost stock at the moment, but it does have a K&N 57i induction kit, a few silicone hoses and a couple little secret tweaks, will be getting lots of cool stuff soonish.

Hope to see some of you in meets.

Gave the Mazda Eunos a clean :-)
by Bandit, 11-06-2020, 07:31 AM
Not really had chance to do much recently so thought i'd give the mazda a bit of a clean up :thumbup1:

Started off with a good rinse off, then a good wash with meg's gold class shampoo, followed by a good going over with the Meg's clay bar, then a session with the Meg's paint cleaner, then gave it another wash :thumbup1: the paintwork isn't too bad for a 22 year old car :thumbup1: so i gave it 2 coats of meguiar's Ultimate Polish, and 2 coats of Meg's ultimate wax, and then finished off with a coat of Serious Performance Polymer Super Sealant ,as its all i had as a finishing coat, but worked pretty well :thumbup1:

Some pics of it after

and a couple of random shots...

What do you think for a 22 year old motor :thumbup1:

Need help troubleshooting battery issue
by ZAIS200, 11-06-2020, 07:31 AM
Hi All, had a bit of an issue this morning got down to my car this morning to go to work, but tfound the battery completely drained, I know for certain nothing was left on as i double checked everything after i managed to jump start the car, I can however say that the car has an after market Radio/cd frontloader and the lexus amplifier was taken out completely by the previous owner, i have taken the car back to where i bought it from to have it checked out by an auto electrician who said the Radio was installed incorrectly and that there was a permananet drain on the battery because of it, the whole radio installation was re wired as a result and the report back was that the drain is now "gone", I know from past experience that there is always a permanent drain on a cars battery especially one with the level of electronics as a lexus, it but the drain is supposed to be small enough for the battery to be able to handle a start up crank even days after not being used, I 'm wondering where i can check next because this is becoming a problem for me for a number of reasons, I leave for work earlier then most people in my appartment block, so too early for a friendly boost from a neighbour, I don't own a booster pack yet, and i can't get enough momentum on the car to jump start it by my self, i really need to get this issue sorted ASAP, so if possible form you guys, I need to know the correct battery to use in a 2000 IS200, currently I have a 65Ahr not sure of the battery code though, I'm pretty sure you need at least a 70Ahr but not sure, also need to know where to look to to try and stop the drain more don't really feel like disconnecting the battery every night:thumbdown:, any help would be appreciated.

Has anyone else been to see this yet?

Possibly the best film I've seen in a long long time. Absolutely awesome!

Please don't post any spoilers in this thread, if we get into the plot we'll start another thread for those that have seen it.
