Hello everyone,
My name is Silent Tuner or Sam in real life :tongue_smilie: And I was reading a couple of threads here, so I thought I post my lex here too. It hasn't much changes, but everything at his time.
Pics say more than words, so I give it a try

Her first couple of days
[Image: Foto0163.jpg]

I installed a double DIN nav, dvd, cd, ... player instead of the original radio/cd
[Image: 3-1.jpg]

Some black smoked rear lights
[Image: Foto0219.jpg]

Then I bought a KW V3 and brought her a bit lower to mother earth
[Image: Foto0220.jpg]

Also putted some new speakers in the back and an amplifier to bring the sound to a higher level :tongue_smilie:

Some black side lights too

When she was lowered waiting for some new rims

These are 18 inch, 8inch on the front and 9inch on the back, with 225/35/18 and 235/35 18 tires on it

Outlaw Jap Clubs Sister Site
by Rabster, 03-04-2020, 03:53 PM
The club has some good news for its members and their friends :w00t:

We at OutlawJapClub have always focussed on the members and have listened to what the members want in relation to shows and parts of the forum. As such over the past 6 months I have been looking at prospective new members and ways to improve numbers and general car shows. One thing the club has noticed is the more general car shows and cruises that happen that we don't seem to do as we specialise in the Jap brand and not all of us want to attend these functions.

So we put our thinking caps on and released a sister site directed at the modifying scene. Due to my research into this a member on here approached me with a plan and a request to give this a go on the clubs behalf.

By allowing someone else to run this sister site my full attention will be left to focus on the OutlawJapClub and the Outlaw impact at shows be it just a 1 day event or a whole weekend.

We are hopeful this will bring in more numbers for the general shows which of course will then help the clubs grow

The plan is that any of the shows OutlawJap Club has already been attending will still be attended by Outlaw Jap Club such as

Japshow, Japshow Finale, JAE, Japfest, along with plentymore shows next year

the sister Site will be focusing on shows such as
the modified Lives, BHP Shows, In car nation, Fast Show and plenty more

All shows will be listed on both sites in order to maximise on numbers attending and payments on both sites will be taken in the same way. Attendee lists will be updated on both sites regularly with links to and from each site.

The T&C of both sites will be the same and as a collective if you are removed from one site due to your actions you are also removed from the other this goes for banning and suspension as well

We hope you can enjoy both sites much the same as you have enjoyed the OutlawJapClub

The sister Site is located at

http://www.outlawmodified.co.uk/forum

Some of the early members of OutlawJapClub will remember upon its launch we asked for input on how you want the site to run and things you wish to see on the site. This is the same on the new site so feel free to make some suggestions over there and i will see what i can do.

New toy
by mattlaw, 02-04-2020, 04:52 PM
I have just purchased a new toy to finish off my toolbox, and I got it at a very reasonable price - well that's what I'm telling the gf anyways :whistling:
A nice shiny snap on solus pro with the latest software on Big Grin
Just watching the training DVD now, has anybody had any previous experience with 1 of these?

I just wanted to say a huge thank you to Jim and Matt for saturday. Sachi made it to Japfest perfectly and then spat her power steering fluid everywhere and the boys fixed her as best they could on muddy grass with very minimal room to get to the offending pipe. She made it all the way back to MK with Matt in convoy to make sure she behaved and then spat her fluid out again a few hundred yards from home. Turning her around in the tiny space in my road with no power steering and a huge LS430 to avoid was ... fun lol

Thank you both, very very much - you're great Smile

And an equally huge thank you in advance to Toxo who is going to get and fit a replacement pipe and re-bleed the system etc for me cos I really don't want to have to try driving her round a zillion roundabouts to my mechanic - you're great too WonkyWizard Smile

New car S14A
by reco2k, 01-04-2020, 05:01 PM
Well i had one of these a couple of years back and have always regretted selling it. The chance came up to trade the IS for one so i went for it. Its an auto nut the shell has no rust which is the main thing. Its had a nistune remap so is nippy but i have big plans for it.
Still undecided on which way i will go with the engine at the moment but going to sort the bodge job wiring. Get the stereo working and the guages working properly and change some bulbs etc. I have already done to the heater controls what i did on the IS and the clocks will be up next lol

Quick pic after getting it home (it got cleaned today but no new pics)

MR2 Turbo Replacement...Impreza Turbo
by TurboPete, 01-04-2020, 01:05 PM
So i've sacrificed looks for performance and driveability and so far i'm glad i did.

Never been a massive fan of Impreza's but never really given them much thought. When i received an email asking if i'd like a straight swap for this one it had to be considered. It has a full service history and receipts for everything which was a must. Mechanically it's sound but there are some bodywrk issues which need addressing to finish it off. I'm more of a bodywork person than engine mechanics so i was happy enough to take it on.

Spec
  • UK Spec 2000 Reg, Subaru Impreza Turbo
  • Full Prodrive Performance Pack Fitted by the Selling Dealer when new
  • TD05 Turbo Running at 0.9Bar (Can be adjusted to 1.3)
  • Full Decat Afterburner Exhaust, 3 Inch to 5 Inch Tailpipe
  • 550cc Injectors
  • Walbro 255 Fuel Pump
  • Hornet Cat 1 Alarm & Immoboliser
  • Navtrak Tracker
  • Boost Gauge, Volt Gauge & Oil Temp Gauge Pod in Dashboard
  • Version 6 High Level Rear Spoiler with Clear Brake Light

  • Forge Dump Valve
  • Angel Eye Headlights
  • Lowered 35mm

Problem Areas
  • The front passenger wing and corner of the bonnet have some damage.
  • Above Rear Passenger Door has some damage.
  • Laquer peeled off the top of the spoiler.
  • About 4-5 small dings around the body which need popping out.
  • Radio needs wiring in properly. (Loses it's settings)
  • Boot needs tidying up.
  • Headlight washer missing.
  • Laquer on the Alloys is peeling off
    • Future
      • Get it booked in for a health check for peace of mind.
      • Get it booked in at a bodyshop to get the damage to the bodywork/paintwork sorted out.
      • Get it on a rolling road to see what it's performance figures are.
      • Change the rear lights as i'm not a fan of them
      • Change the wheels as they are scruffy and i'm not a fan of the chrome finish. Not sure what sort or colour yet though.

Any comments, critism or recommendations welcome.
