New pioneer radio, handbrake wiring...
by northernmonkey, 11-02-2020, 03:42 PM
Ok, so pioneer seem to have got round the old handbrake wire to earth trick to enable video on the move, but I'm having trouble understanding this. After a bit of a search it seems that a toggle switch is the way to go as the new units require a double pulse system. I.e Off, on, off again.

Looking at the diagram, would you just put the handbrake wire to a switched 12v SUPPLY.

If so, surely i can use a push to make switch?

Now is your opportunity to state that pm's between members are totally private (which they are not) or that you all (mods) have access to them and not just the site holder.

Transparency breeds trust.

Secrecy breeds suspicion and mistrust.

Ban me, I don't give a monkeys,at least I will have been proved correct.

Foreign drivers/ uninsured
by aaronabbott, 10-02-2020, 06:50 PM
Does anyone have any experience with foreign drivers that may/maybe uninsured,as the girlfriend had someone crash into the side of her little ka.
The bloke even said to her that he didn't even have any insurance over here but did back home in his country.
She's reported it to the police who didn't even come out but they did phone her so shes filled in their reports at the local station and to her insurance company.
She managed to get hold of the bloke again from his very limited details who seemed very sketchy (didn't know where he lived etc)

Hi Guys,

I haven't posted any updates on here in a while, being very busy with work recently :-( and working on a couple of things for the forum on the side.

Couple of things to check out on the website at the moment;

FORZA 4 CHALLENGE

GT5 CHALLENGE

PROJECTS

For those that haven't notice, between myself Spencer another moderator and Andrew we have being working on getting the forum into the magazine a lot more (makes sense) anywho every month we will release details of the HLC (hot lap challenge) or console challenges we have. It's all a bit of fun, and when people do get involved it becomes a tough challenge!
We have also started doing "Polls" every month to see what the most popular car (out of a certain generation i.e mk1, mk2, mk3 etc) comes top of the list!
These can be found on the main page @ http://www.banzaimagazine.com

As always any questions feel free to ask, feel free to sign up and feel free to get involved Big Grin

Cheers guys,

Dan

Moving house
by reco2k, 10-02-2020, 07:23 AM
Hi all, seeing as this is a national forum i thought i would ask for some opinions/advise

My partner and i are looking at moving away from southampton, for multiple reasons we want a fresh start. So the question is what areas are nice to live in with a young family (18 month old and 2,1/2 year old)
We also want to try and get somewhere coastal or within a reasonable distance of beaches etc but need an area that isnt hugely expensive (around £750 per month for a 3 bedroom house)

I know its quite a random request but would like to know peoples opinions Big Grin

Thanks all

Ross
