am hoping to get my self a 4th gen prelude. an have been looking at a hell of alot of them. i did go see one last week which turned out the guy did not really own the car or have any paper work for it so i walked away. tho if it had been a legit sale i would of taken it but oh wel.

anyway to the point i am going to view one on Monday which has been offered to me in a swap for my current car (http://i1034.photobucket.com/albums/...c/DSC_0014.jpg).

this is what i have been offered

tho here are the bad points .....
handbrake cable needs replacing
rear calipers sticking
ABS light stays on
4 wheel steer light comes on and is apparently locked.

so what im asking is should i take up the offer or not ?

Error code- crankshaft position sensor
by RRobert, 13-10-2019, 04:53 PM
I did have a little search but didn't find anything, I have P0336 crankshaft sensor A circuit fault coming up via OBD. Anyone got some clue where it is, is it easy to swap the sensor yourself? Any info would be great.

Thanks..

LED puddle lights and red door lights.
by jomo, 13-10-2019, 04:13 PM
Today if got around to fitting my white LED puddle lights and red door lights.

Both are the same just white for puddle lights and red for edge of doors.

[Image: led-strips-smd-3528-60-non-waterproof-White.jpg]

From "the bay" about £4 -£5 for 2 white 2 red inc P&P.

They are both attached with the 3M tape already fitted, power is taken from red door marker light, just cut the wires and soldered them back together and covered with heat-shrink.

Sorry 'bout iphone pics!
Here's an idea of where i placed the strips.

[Image: 302103_10150369448731712_575506711_84586...9953_n.jpg]

There's room so that they dont touch anything when you close the door!

Was thinking of doing the same to the rear doors but was unsure if by wiring them the the front doors with the rest of the LED's would i be putting too much through the orig door wires? (one for Rabs me thinks :thumbup1Smile

Comments welcome. (be kind lol)

New Subaru
by Lexusboy, 13-10-2019, 04:55 AM
New Subaru coming next year....

What I like about the new Subaru are the new lines of the cars.

The car seems to have been given a great new look.

What are your thought's

http://www.insideline.com/subaru/new-sub...-2012.html

http://blogs.cars.com/kickingtires/2011/...show-.html

And Dont forget the joint-project sports car from Toyota and Subaru is now getting far enough along to report at least the following, even though we're certain much will change. The car is said to be very light, and to use at least two versions of Subaru's flat, 2.0-liter four, with output purported to be around 200 hp in the RWD Toyota model and 250 hp in the Subaru version. Toyota's edition bows first, reportedly late this year, and not as a Toyota, but as a Scion, with the name FR-S. The Subie, if it comes to these shores, won't arrive until mid-2012 at the soonest. Pricing for the SubaScion is expected to be in the mid-20K range.

Collinite 476s
by clossie, 12-10-2019, 08:22 PM
Anyone been using his stuff? I've been using meguirs nxt tech for a while now and it just doesn't seem to protect for long. I've seen some incredible claims that this stuff will still protect 6 mths after application and it can be hand for a fairl good price (compared to dodo juice for example)

New guy in a Subaru (Livingston )

Hullllllllo!

dropping in to say hi. My 2002 Impreza was bought as a winter run around to keep my RS in the garage and out of the sh!te winter weather (dont hate me)

First Jap car really, normally a Fast Ford nut ( saff 4x4, RS Cosworth 3 door) or Prestige German ( M3, E55 AMG) and Lotus Elise 111R, usually pick up an SUV of sorts for the winter months but went for the AWD route and well here i am.

seems to have a few blot on extras, a re-map, S/S exhuast and dumpvalve, few carbon style bits and the interior is bog standard. it'll do me anyways.

I cracked on quick smart with some polishing and waxing before the snow and took some pics and posted in the Impreza forum.

Impreza gets a polish
by RRobert, 12-10-2019, 05:34 PM
Thought I'd post up a few pics of the Winter Protection detail I did on my 2002 bugeye.

The car was foamed as a prewash, clayd and rinsed. Washed by hand and then MF towel dried and put in the garage to inspect the paint. makes for grim viewing, these are typical of the paint defects all over the car.

The car was rotary poloished with Menzerna PF2500 and SF 4000 then topped off with collinite 476s for winter durability that wax is hard to beat. Most of the heavy duty paint defects were improved although some refinment will be carried out again in the spring no doubt.
