New guy, VR4 owner :-)

Hi all, I'm 30 odd years old and own a Legnum VR4. Love Jap cars, love drifting (not in the VR4 mind) and love drooling over expensive parts i can't afford.

I hail from Cirencester and am a full time dad.

Hi guys,
I have been researching into getting my stock nav working again, I have an aftermarket pioneer double din unit which was fitted by previous owner who in his "wisdom" cut the plugs off so not only have I got to find the tx+ and tx- I have also got to find which terminals they go on on the standard hu, the only way I have found to get it working is to relocate the standard hu somewhere else and run the above wires and a power and earth from the loom in the dash to the newly located unit, any ideas or advice???

Having not been on here for 12 months a lot has happened in my life and I've sadly downgraded from the Evo X to a Diesel ASX hock: all because my wife was pregnant and now we have a daughter. seeing as she was going part time I needed to reduce some payments somewhere (unfortunately the evo bit the dust).

Anyway every cloud has a silver lining as as the wife is now using the ASX I now run around in her little colt 1.1 hock:. It seems that I have gone from a beast of a car to something that couldn't pull the skin off a rice pudding. However as I am now getting very annoyed with it I am going to mod it within a reasonable budget, most mods I will try and carry out myself.

for starters I managed to get some alloys off eBay so the wheel trims have gone, and I have a spoiler on the way. Hopefully the list of mods will cover things to neaten the image of it currently, like painting all the black bumper bits, new stereo, lowered, etc. I'm not intending on modifying the engine at all as I want to keep the cheap running costs (that and the fact that I would be better off just buying a CZT).

I'll keep you guys posted on the progress and hopefully I won't end up with something that looks too stupid.

...You never know I might even get around to doing something like this

I've had this for 3 weeks now after winning it on ebay for £2,000. It has the full Face Lift/TTE bodykit, lowered, window deflectors, alloy pedals, C-One rad cover, rad and oil caps, Alpine headunit (worth £190) and handsfree kit installed. The car is on 73,000 miles nearly and has part service history.

The car passed it's MOT yesterday so has 13 months now. An advisory on a tyre being low and low front pads, both I knew about. Winter tyres going on next week and I've ordered Mintex brakes all round. Got a sticky caliper as well cos one side has worn quicker than the other. Also got the oil to change, coolant, lift bolts and rocker gasket. I've fitted new number plates as it had square ones on and new wiper blades.

Mods will be tinted windows, induction kit and possibly a stainless exhaust. Here are some photos after a quick wash and wipe down with Z6 :thumbup:
