As most of you will know, I bought an LS430 a few weeks ago.
While the car suits the criteria that I bought it for perfectly (lots of space inside for the kids, lots of toys, reasonably quick, relaxing), I'm really in two minds on whether to keep to as it just feels a little too 'grown up' for me and it's an absolute pain in the ass to park in multistories/shopping centres as its friggin huge.
I guess I kind of yearn for something a bit more sporty looking like my IS300, but bigger with more mod-cons.
This led me to the GS430 (2005+ model) or the GS450h. I really like the look of the new GS, especially the one with the boot spoiler, and as it seems bigger inside the cabin than the IS300, it ticks the boxes there.
The only thing stopping me from getting one (pending a test drive and buggy-in-boot test) is the fact that I'll have to PX in the LS430 and add about £8k in order to get one which may only be a year or two newer than the LS!!
Is it completely mad to spend £8k on a GS, when my LS is probably better built and has more toys? Or should I not put a price on being 100% happy with the car I drive?
Looking for voices of reason...
Hi,
I've been meaning to join here for ages! Lol......well I'm here now.
I have a 1996 Nissan largo, called the dragon slayer, I was a japfest this year but didn't make it to jae.
Love my jap import bus, spent oodles on it and done nearly all the work myself.
Forum looks great, I'm off now for a nose about!
Laters xx
Just wondering if the OJC has a Twitter account?
Thought it may be useful if we're trying to attract new members and keep existing ones informed, as we could put up statuses of meets we're hosting/attending.
I know the forum is the primary method of communication and the aim is to get everyone on here, but with the amount of people on smart phones these days it would be good for our name to pop up on their news feed every now and then, which may then encourage them to check out the forum more...
Thoughts?
Just wondering why a V8 sounds so distinctive?
You can have any other configuration of cylinders, V6, Straight 6, V10 etc.
But they just don't sound the same?
What is it about them that makes them sound so different?
Does anyone know a decent carbon fibre fabricator? I'm getting some IS200 light inserts replicated in carbon, but I need someone to do it. I've been in touch with SJSdesign twice, but have so far been ignored. A quick scan of google seems to show up mostly racing teams.
I'd rather spend my money on a company that comes recommended.
Cheers!
Apologies if this is a repost, I haven't been on-line in ages! But this is the best for sale advert I've read in a long time.

, does anyone have any sort of suggestion as to what this may be if this relay/fuse is in working order ? I cant keep taking the fuse out every time i need to go to the shops lol Hi everyone ( sorry if this is in the wrong section admin)
Ive been experiencing a bit of problem with the lights on the is200
When i turn the car on they are fine , they work on sidelights / manual / and automatic , after a drive when i stop the car and turn off ignition the lights wont shut off , If in Automatic selection / side lights / or if turned to off , the lights flicker and there is a whining noise from the fuse/relay box under the bonnet , I have taken the relay out now - (will upload a picture soon ) as its the only way i can get the lights off , but this now means i have no lights , and when the relay was checked apparently its fine
