Need a new laptop

OK my Lenovo is just about dead now, its giving blue screen of death, 3 of the 4 USB's don't work and the audio jacks have all broken. The thing is 5 years old and has been a work horse PC rarely turned off, but always maintained as well as we could.

So I have looked at current specs of machines and am now well and truly confused. We need a machine that is a max of $500, not for games but is mainly going to be used for word processing, spreadsheets, picture manipulation and streaming video.

I thought, well, apart from our love of our cars, our kids, partners etc etc.. There is always that special place in our hearts for our pets..

I have a 6 year old American Bulldog, called Ollie. He weighs in at roughly 135pounds and is (thankfullly) as soft as a marshmallow:tongue_smilie:

Hi people, i've been a member with a certain mr2 club, and i've had enough of them. very cliquey, everyone gets a nice warm welcome, then after that it's a bit hit and miss. dont get me wrong ive received loads of great tips and advice on there, but im sick of going to meets and not being able to talk to people because they are either camera whores, and won't utter a word while they spend 1 hour taking a single shot of their engine bay (for example) or they just simply don't give you the feeling that you're welcome in the club. also lots of "keyboard warriors" if anyone know what im getting at.:whistling:

So anyway, ive had a look through your forum, and there seems to be a better vibe here.
I live in Luton-not sure if there's anything going on near me with this club? I own a 1991 toyota mr2 t-bar, turbo, in verdigris blue/green.Currently pretty standard, still got original 14" alloys, which i may keep, gizzmo ms-ibc boost controller, aftermarket intercooler, mongoose exhaust, decat, blitz induction kit.
I'm hoping i've joined a club where i will get the same respect and friendlyness i give to everyone else:thumbup:

I see the 3000GT/GTO section is looking rather lonely. I picked up a GTO under a bit of an impulsive ebay purchase last week and was very chuffed with the bargain I got.

Will post some updates as I progress. All in all solid car with lots and lots of work done by the previous owner. Paintwork needs some attention as covered in orange peel which will be the first thing I tackle.. just bought a load of wet and dry ready to start.

Hi all,

Just signed up the forum and thought I'd say hi.
Im currently driving around in a red MK2 MR2 (1997, n/a) which I've just had a new exhaust built for.

I found out about this place up at Japshow Finale when I followed BOOSST in his V6 MR2 and a couple of other white MR2's to the gates at Santapod so thought I'd come and see what all the fuss is about!
