Japshow Finale 2011 - Speedy's Pics
by speedfreek, 07-08-2019, 05:50 PM
Few choice pics of the day - those who missed it really missed out as it was a cracking day with some excellent racing!

Excuse the granularity of some of the photos, photobucket doesn't really do bulk uploading of high res files well.

BTCC @ Rockingham Speedway
by toxo, 07-08-2019, 04:54 PM
Went to see the touring cars today! Always a good day out at Rockingham and while not specifically a Japanese event there are plenty of Jap marques involved - it was good to see the Dynojet Toyota Avensis doing so well and kicking some Honda ****!. It's built just around the corner from my house and is a new car and new driver for this year. They finished 3rd, 2nd (highest finish so far) and 9th in the 3 races of the day as well as smashing the record for fastest lap! Not a bad day's haul.

There was also a demonstration of an 800+bhp twin turbo V8 champ car running on methanol which was doing 53 second laps of the speedway circuit which was pretty cool, and my friends team did well in the Ginetta GT supercup scooping 3rd and 4th on a track they know they're not strong on.

Photos here, you don't have to use facebook to be able to see them: http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a...1ca&type=1

Have a HEL brake line kit - WARNING!!
by rob, 07-08-2019, 12:56 PM
A quick heads up... my mate has a HEL brake line kit, some months ago when he lost all the braking. The line had fractured at the banjo fitting swaging. He did contact HEL who didnt sem to be too concerned and said it was the first time this had happened.

I have just read over on another site I visit 2 other people have had exactly the same issue - they were also told "its the first time". both people had contacted HEL about the issue.

Some digging around the net throws up various incidents of HEL lines spliting or seperating at the banjo.

If you have a HEL kit look at the condition of the lines NOW!

Reps for different things
by Lexusboy, 07-08-2019, 05:34 AM
Ok to show what a helpful bunch of people we have here, anyone that adds tags or good information post will be getting Reps more often.

You may ask what is a tag?
When you open a thread look to the bottom of the thread were you can add tabs to what will make people look at that post.
With the web looking for information the tags get pulled up by the web spiders looking for certain words.
IE You may start your thread LEXUS IS200 AUTO WHAT TYRES ARE REQUIRED?
You may then add the words LEXUS is200 auto tyres and any other info you add to the thread such as tyre size make of tyre etc: etc:

This thread has no Tags http://www.outlawjapclub.co.uk/forum/sho...php?t=8874

This thread does have tags
http://www.outlawjapclub.co.uk/forum/sho....php?t=673

When naming you thread think how a search engine may pick up your thread easier.
IE Toyota mr2 Twin entry turbo intercooler
Rather than just the word intercooler

We look forward to seeing your threads being read by many more people through out the world....:thumbup1:

Yet another Zed
by Mrs HollowPoint, 06-08-2019, 10:25 AM
Hi all,

I'm Rose, Hollowpoint's 'missus'. Mikey Bean also lives with us so the third zed in the household.

I bought the Z already in black and yellow but if history repeats itself I will be doing a lot more to it and making that wussy yellow much brighter.
Work so far... a whole lot of wiring, sound deadening, new complete exhaust, and some work started on the interior.

An explanation of the name...sexycrayola was my online handle about 7 years ago before me and alex moved to New Zealand (returned last year). I was known so well by the name in a few car club circles especially Toyota Owners and Celica club with my Gen6 Celica in Torquoise and Gold complete with Rockford Fosgate sound system and rare full Booster body kit.... I miss that car but the 300 has much more power. I may not be the stick insect 25yr old and the car not as modified... yet, but why not carry on with the name.

The OLD car from years back:

I got probably best know for this pic lol
[Image: DSCF0019riskyoriginal.jpg]

One of the very last photos I took of 'Gabby'. There were tons of mods I did to the interior and lighting but I'm not going into that.

My car at JAE - you can see your club stand just behind

One of my first mods.. de-clock and tidy up. Testing out a colour for the exterior of the car too.
