It's a Supra Thing.....

Ok so after the long search I’ve finally got the supra which is stage 1 of the project Big Grin, here’s how she currently stands (car needs a clean once this is done I’ll get some new pics inside and out and edit this post)

First things first there’s a few bodywork bits that I’m going to get touched up, these aren’t really apparent in pics but close up I know they are there and want the car looking like it’s just rolled out of the showroom.

The end project will consist of a fully rebuilt 2JZ-GTE engine from the bottom end up with a few goodies along the way Wink and I’m hoping to have the engine by the end of the year to give me something to rebuild whilst the weather is crappy, I’m keeping most of the engine spec details quiet for the time being but I can say that it will be running a decent sized single turbo and forged internals.

In the mean time I’ll be doing some supporting mods e.g. big brake upgrade/radiator/sway bar upgrade and get the exterior looking spot on…..

Is anyone on here running an oil catch can on their boosted setup? I'm tempted to get one but want to make sure its worthwhile before I do.

Those that are runnign one, whats your engine, boost levels and how much oil are you seeing?

Well after a long time seraching/wanting a Supra and annoying the vast majority of users on here with stories/pics and videos of Supra's I finally got one Big Grin

As some of you will have seen I went to view what i thought was my "perfect" Supra a few weeks back and well without going back over the thread it was not as described and had way too much wrong with it, I was a little disheartened as it was the first one that had come up for sale in 7 months Sad

Then after putting a wanted thread on the mkivsupra forums I received a pm from a guy selling his 98 facelift 6 speed non-turbo (very very rare) in white with very low mileage (currently reading 54k) and with a excellent spec list.

So without further delay allow me to introduce the newest love in my life (although the wheels are different) :thumbup1:

How do I transfer my private reg?
by karlp, 22-05-2019, 06:09 PM
Okay guys due impending sale of lex and impending purchase of a zed, what's the best way of taking my private reg off and swapping to the new car, is it best to swap it straight to the new car or take it off then put it on the new car when I get it??

Going on "holiday" for a bit.................
by FirebirdPhil, 21-05-2019, 07:49 AM
So the time has come, Heather and me are going to the USA for a well deserved extended holiday.

So for the foreseeable future I won't be about, but I will try to check in with you all at some point. This "Holiday" may be 3 month, 5 months, 6 months or we may not bother to come back - we now have the relevant visas to allow us to stay a very long time..........

The company is in the safe hands of my most trusted of friends and an amazing artist!!

Blue Donkey the Prius is going on Tuesday, a truly amazing Donkey (hey its not a real car is it?), never once let me down, utterly brilliant on fuel just ugly and SLOW, Mustang GT has been ordered and is probably waiting for me at the car hire desk, but knowing my luck some mopar junk with a silly hemi V8 will be substituted at the last minuet.

Now all I need is a sneak preview of the Witches purple Supra and all will be ready to go!!!

Friday 8th July we fly to Phoenix AZ for 10 days, then Las Vegas for 2 weeks, then LA for a month, down to Dallas for a month, across to Florida for a month and up to North Carolina to see friends for a month or 2 - then we see what else we want to do/see.

Good luck, much love you are a great bunch of miscreants it is an excellent club and I will miss you all - I will especially miss the Europe trips and the meets etc.

South west drive and snacks on the beach Sunday?
by 2foxy, 20-05-2019, 06:41 PM
Hey

I am struggling to get Devon and Cornwall Jap car lovers motivated... Gonna meet a few mates in Bideford on Sunday and then drive down the coast to Newquay and have a BBQ or picnic on the beach... Anybody fancy it?

Can't decise between wheels
by Bonney, 20-05-2019, 06:11 PM
After the last owner of my car making a complete balls up of refurbing the wheels and also they have started to bubble and flake again I have decided to save and get a new set.

Trying to decide between these
18" Diamond lite

[Image: 17_Inch_Diamond_Lite_Alloy_Wheels__PI_22...84_600.jpg]

Or these
18" ZCW Angel Black

Here is a pic of the car they are going on.
