Spotted my first outlaw!
by parthiban, 20-01-2019, 07:54 AM
Finally spotted my first outlaw on the road today (A13 heading towards the docklands), have forgotten his name unfortunately but the guy with the white aristo with the funky multicoloured lips on the alloys.

Not sure if he recognised me or just thought I was some crazy person trying to run him off the road though

We maybe seeing more dealers opening soon.
by Lexusboy, 20-01-2019, 05:26 AM
Nissan is planning to open 400 new dealerships in Europe over the next three years, in addition to 600 opened during the last five years.

Combined with a slew of new models, the company hopes this will help it overtake Japanese rival Toyota.

"Our ambition is to... eventually become the number one Japanese brand in Europe," Simon Thomas, head of sales and marketing in Europe, told BBC News.

During the last two years, Nissan has launched 10 new models.

"We've got one of the youngest ranges of any brand in Europe," said Mr Thomas.

"We also have the widest product range in Europe. We are represented in more segments than any other brand in Europe with 24 products."

Crossover sales

Last year, Nissan had a 3.1% market share. During the first two months of this year, that rose to about 3.5%, helped by strong and growing sales of its Qashqai crossover and healthy demand for its smaller Juke.

"That's the kind of level we think we can achieve for the rest of this year," said Mr Thomas.

In Europe, Nissan sells one-in-four crossovers, which combine the high ride of 4x4s with the fuel economy and driving style of ordinary cars.

And although more and more rivals are piling in, the company predicts that the crossover segment will continue to grow.

"Our long-term ambition is to reach a 5% market share."

'Sustainable growth'

Nissan's brave talk has done little to rattle the world's largest carmaker Toyota, however.

"Everybody's got very ambitious targets," said Didier Leroy, president of Toyota Motor Europe.

"But we expect our sales to rise 10% this year. Every single month since September we've beaten our sales targets in Europe."

Toyota is slowly recovering from the damage caused by mass recalls of cars during 2010, backed by a broader range of petrol-electric hybrid cars.

"We want to develop sustainable growth in Europe," Mr Leroy said.

"We're not rushing for market share. We're not rushing for volume. We want to do it in a profitable way."

Pulled over??
by Bandit, 17-01-2019, 01:49 PM
Went up to Wales on Saturday, took the family up for a drive out for the day? driving through Llandudno pulled into the middle lane at some traffic lights and waited for them to change to green, pulled away and drove through the town at about 15mph in traffic? came to an island went round and accelerated away up to around 20-25mph (traffic again) Police car comes screaming up behind me and sits on my rear end Huh

I go about 1/4 mile up the road still with the police car attached to my rear bumper, come to a wide bit of road with a parking area looking for a space to park, blue lights start flashing in my rear view mirror so pull over!

Two officers slowly get out and walk over and say?? Hello Sir do you realise your car is quite loud and its attracting attention from passers by?

I say yes i know its quite loud as it has a big exhaust and a supercharger fitted? the woman officer then says you pulled away pretty quick at the lights and we could hear you a few cars back? I then say yes i got up to 17mph so did well being as i was in traffic (starting to get bored now?) she'd now got a face like a bulldog chewing a wasp? the other officer says its a nice car but could i keep the noise down a little when i go through town on my way home? as passers by are stopping to look at it and i may cause an accident Confusedhock:

Me now gob smacked started to laugh and said if that's all i'll be on my way, the male officer says have a nice day puts his hand up and waves me off?

Do you think they were bored??? :Chair::Chair: I couldn't believe that's why they pulled me over, found it quite comical and probably made more noise going back through town than i did on my way in?

Dropping in to say hello..new to OJCC

Hi.

My names Fox. I own a pretty basic 91 Mazda Eunos 1.6 in classic red.
The only mods I've done since owning the car is to flock the interior in red, to match the outside, due to spending all my money and time setting up my business. Who know what I'll do once I get some money coming in......wheels, lowered etc etc etc...can't wait.

Thought I'd drop in and say hello after hearing about you from Demon.

I'm based in the Gosport area of Hampshire.

Anyway, thanks for reading.
