Today whilst re-attaching the aerial to my girlfriends 206, which some drunken youths had thought it would be just great to pull off! (luckily for them they didn't touch the Lex)
I was attaching it with black silicone as this is all had to hand, also because I use it for absolutely everything. While I was waiting for it to cure my mind started to wonder...
And my question is, if there was an virus/whatever that was able to disolve/eat away silicone how many things would fall apart? How many times (like me) has somebody just said "a bit of silicone will fix/hold that". and its probably not just cars!
I know for a fact any car I have ever owned would probably fall apart, and most likely my house! I love silicone.
anyway, that is my thought for the day
Posty
is yours working, mine only works on parts others wont load:cursing:

I just removed my downpipe, turbo and manifold. The downpipe has been on the car about 2 years and to my knowledge the turbo and manifold have never been removed. When I removed the downpipe in 2008 I snapped studs and bolts all over the shop, despite having left everything soaked in WD40 for at least 24hrs. So, these are 16yr old studs and nuts that have been heat cycled relentlessly.
I am happy to report that on switching to using "Plusgas Formula A" where I would normally use WD40 that not a single stud snapped!! Everything has come out totally cleanly, as if it were put together yesterday. That's 7 studs turbo -> DP, 4 studs mani -> turbo and 8 studs head -> mani.
Snapped head -> mani studs are a common horror story in MR2 land, and thanks to this magic spray I have managed to avoid that situation completely! Can't recommend it enough for scenarios where you need a good penetrating oil (shh). This is all it does, it's not as multi-purpose as WD40. You don't even need to leave it to work either, it's almost instant. I have my suspicions that it's just diesel and parafin but I don't really care, it worked wonders
Right, take the test and post your screen shots up.. after the FIRST attempt!!!
i had 90% BTW.

Got the usual email scam this morning, but this one isn't offering millions in return for my generosity, so what exactly is the upside? :w00t:
How's everything on your end? This has had to come in a hurry and it has left me in a devastating state. I traveled to Wales for a Urgent Traning Program,(UTP) unfortunately for me my wallet was stolen at the hotel where I lodged. I only need to clear the hotel bills before I can leave but of course they stopped billing me since the incident. I didn't bring my phones here and the hotel telephone lines were disconnected during the robbery, so I have access to only emails. Please can you send me £1450 as early as possible so I can return home. As soon as I get home I would refund it immediately. Western Union or Money Gram seems to be the safest and quickest option for now, please send to the details:
NAME- BISWAJIT DUBASHI
ADDRESS- SWANSEA MARIOTT HOTEL (Maritime Quarter, Swansea,
CITY-SWANSEA
COUNTRY-WALES (UK)
ZIPCODE-SA1 3SS.
Please as soon as you are done help me write out the MTCN and the details you used in sending me the money. Thank you so much as I would be waiting to hear from you.
Thanks,
