Pictures: Gumball 3000 - Arlanda, Sweden
by P.Lindblom, 23-03-2018, 08:11 AM
I've been a Gumball 3000 fan for quite a few years and I've taken a few trips to London to see the starts, but this year I couldn't get a flight ticket in time.

Fortunately one of the checkpoints was in Stockholm and of course I went there to take a few pictures and listen to the lovely supercar noises.

I've just uploaded a few pictures so far, more will come tonight.

Tuesday joke
by Ally, 23-03-2018, 08:06 AM
Nelson is lying wounded and being attended to by Hardy, when the French flagship puts up a new signal.

Hardy look puzzled, and Nelson notices and says: "What is it, man?"

"It's a signal I've never seen before, sir"

"Read it out" commands Nelson.

So Hardy, rather hesitatingly, reads: "At the water it is the hour"

"At the water it is the hour?" repeats Nelson, also struggling to understand. "Are you sure, Hardy?"

"As far as I can see, sir" replies Hardy.

Nelson pauses for breath and then says to Hardy: "What does it say in French?"

Hardy puts his telescope back to his eye and replies:

"A l'eau, c'est l'heur!"

What type of wheel nuts on IS200 rims?
by Fozzy, 22-03-2018, 06:37 PM
Simple enough. Do they use tapered wheel nuts, or the flat type wheel nuts?

De-modding the Lex :(
by Demon, 22-03-2018, 09:56 AM
Hi All,

Well me and Sarah have swapped cars so that we can save more money towards a house as she does less miles to work so makes more sense her driving mine and i can drive her 1.0 litre yaris Huh

Well she went to work today and text me saying that she doesn't like the B&M shortshift so wants it off the car. Went and picked it up and have just this second taken it off and put the standard shifter back in. I was begininning to loose interest in the Lex but after taking that short shifter off i just really don't like driving it now!!!!! Didn't realise how precise that shifter was till i took it out! Gear change was so precise and crisp and not if feels like a bag of old bolts! Not happy!!!!!!

Will only be a matter of time before she starts wanting other bits changed! :glare: I NEED this buggy built even more now so i can put the fun back into driving again!!!!!

Anyway, rant over!

What Have I Seen?
by toxo, 22-03-2018, 07:50 AM
I saw a car parked up outside a local pub last Thursday and I have NO idea what it was.

It was a small 2 seater convertible, in silver. The roof was black cloth. I think it was a 57 plate and the badge on the front was a long thin triangle pointing downwards. It had 2 ridges on the rear of the car behind the headrests, like a Carrera GT:

WTF was it?! Me and Dan are stumped...
