ebay problem
by is300_dino, 17-03-2018, 05:29 AM
i ordered an o2 senser from an american ebay seller on the 20th april and as yet the item is still showing as not being shipped, i have sent the seller a few mails to try and find out when it will be shipped and requested a tracking number and as i ordered the express delivery option i think this is taking the mikey esp as it was an extra $30 and had no reply from him, so where do i go now, ive never had a problem like this before. also just checked his feedback and it seems someone else had a problem with delayed shipping from him.
please help dont want to order another one cos i dont want 2 of them :Bazza:

Credit Report - Credit Score
by Saraj, 16-03-2018, 10:44 AM
10 months ago, I did a credit score check and was very dissapointed to find my score was aprox. 350 out of 1000 in the Poor section.

Over the last 10 months, I have ensured that all payments have been kept upto date, closed accounts no longer required, settled store cards, got my name on electrol role,

and just paid 13 quid (8 quid for membership, 5 for score) and found it is at 834 !!

Well chuffed, only one late payment to Orange in the past 6 months, (obviously would have had a better score without this)

Rang them up straight away to cancel membership, which they did (so then i dont pay another 8 quid in a months time) and the guy said to continue for another 10 months and the score should get above 900

which I hope it does, as I am planning to buy house around that time !

So I say, get your report and score and look at what you can improve, then any credit applications, you will get better deals !

Hit and run
by parthiban, 16-03-2018, 07:28 AM
Unfortunately yesterday afternoon my father was involved in a hit and run on the A406 - was driving along in the left lane minding his own business when a truck that was in middle lane just pulled across without indicating and smashed into the front of the prius and then drove off without stopping.

I'm overly a**l about driving alongside trucks so have been giving him a bit of a hard time but obviously it's not entirely fair as he didn't technically do anything wrong. Thankfully it's just a bit of bent metal and no one was hurt but it does p**s me off that these truck drivers firstly give the other decent ones a bad name, and secondly think they can get away with it because they're in such a large vehicle.

The damage isn't horrendous, going to need a new drivers door and front wing (and maybe a new bumper) so could have been a lot worse, but still trying to do everything I can to make sure he doesn't get away with it. Insurance have been told and a police report has been filed. Also got in touch with CCTV for the area but that was a bit of a dead end - freedom of information act means I have access to the info, but data protection act doesn't allow me to get any footage where I can make out anyone else or anyone else's vehicle (so pretty useless!)

Is there any other avenue I can explore or is it now just left to the police and insurance co to follow this up? Not holding out too much hope as truck drivers have a funny way of escaping this sort of thing though.........

One other thing I found interesting, while chatting to the guy at the bodyshop, he told me that they can no longer slide through a little additional work with insurance repairs like they used to (not that I was trying to, I was just curious) as it's all computerised. Whatever parts are required, it's now all set how much labour/paint/etc is required so they can't put through a little bit extra.

flippity flop it - Need a new Digital Camera now....
by Saraj, 15-03-2018, 06:15 PM
My loveable (I loved it) Digital Camera has gone caput !

It was a Kodak V1233, 12mp, HD video

I loved it and was perfect, but its gone now, and need a new one for the holiday in October, yes it way off, but need to start saving.

What you guys got? Something under 170? MP wise not too bothered, but has to have HD video.

I love SLR cameras but way too expensive.

Any recommendations, which ones have you got?

P.S could a mod change my threat title, i wasnt swearing, but the filter has kicked in for some reason.

by Y2KANJAR, 15-03-2018, 06:10 PM
As some of you may know i have bought Ed's Blueflame exhaust.

Turns out there nothing wrong with the bolts and nuts and took the garage 15min to change it over Confusedhock:... unlike ed's it took 4 hours just to take off :cursing: lol, it might have something to with having a ramp.

Any way the guy's fitted and it cost me only £20!!! resultConfusedmoke:

Any way here you got with the pic's

Adjusting Gauges to face the way you want to?
by Bandit, 15-03-2018, 06:06 PM
Posted this before but thought i'd move it to its own how to topic? as i know a few guys are doing/have done gauge pods :thumbup1:

Easy way of changing the angle of gauges....

Parts you'll need..

Black Spray can lid..
Sharp scissors or a sharp knife..
Super glue...?

Using a Spray can lid behind one side of the gauge so that the gauge/gauges sit at an angle to face you Smile

Cut the plastic lid so that its in a C shape, so its 5mm at it's highest point in the centre of the C shape, then taper it off to say 1-2mm at each end, (so its like a wedge shape.) it'll hold the gauge at that angle?

You can glue the plastic wedge to the gauge itself if you wanted, so it stays in place or even glue it to the pod and then spray the whole item so it looks like one part?

You can adjust the angle pretty easy by making the higher bit of the plastic a bit higher or lower than 5mm, depending on where you want it to face?

You might have to play with the brackets on the rear so they tighten up properly, but quite easy to sort out :thumbup1:

Quick demo i made out of a spray can lid to show you how it works, and pics always explain it better Big Grin

[Image: DSCF7430_edited.jpg][Image: DSCF7435_edited.jpg]

Took me a couple of minutes to make and really easy to do, the spray can lid works very well because you can cut it to fit round most size gauges, if you have bigger than 60mm gauges i'm sure there will be a lid out there somewhere that would do the job? plus if you use a black one it'll blend in with the plastic on the gauge pod and with most gauges
