Possible Drift School with Drift One
by Bobby, 03-03-2018, 11:11 AM
I am enquiring with Drift One Web Link about a group booking for the Single Drift experience. They are offering a reduction from £125 to £100 per person for this. I dont have a minimum numbers or dates & we have a lot of events comiing up, but have mentioned June time. Would there be any interest in doing this as an OJC day out. Please read the website, as most questions are answered there.

Thanks

The missus just bought her second car
by P.Lindblom, 02-03-2018, 07:27 PM
I just thought I'd show you a picture of Sara's new car. It needs a new caliper, so we had to tow it home, but it's more or less completely free from rust Smile

More pictures to follow when we start modifying a few things.

My Lexus IS200 TTE supercharger
by ToyMr2, 02-03-2018, 01:22 PM
I've got a 2001 IS200, and had it for 3 years now. Slowly, paycheck by paycheck, I have modifyed the car.

The specs today are:
TTE front lip
TTE springs
Bilstein sport shock absorbers
late spec dark taillights
8x18" ET40 wheels with 225/40 Falken Azenis RT-615
TTE supercharger kit

kenwood 2-DIN multimedia headunit
DLS front speakers
Boston Pro subs in the boot
Genesis amp, one off amp actually

I just finished changing the timing belt and waterpump. Last week I finally got the supercharger kit I bought fro Sheeldzy (on LOC), and couldn't wait to get it fitted to my car! Big Grin
I don't really like the red hoses that came with the kit, so I'm going to get some black hoses and powder coating the pipes black

I know you like pics, so here you go:
Front bumper off:

HP laptop problems
by Demon, 02-03-2018, 08:34 AM
Hi All,

Thought i would just add this as a heads up to those with certain HP laptops.

Sarah bought a HP something or other laptop back in 2007 from John Lewis and it has recently just died, just out of warrenty!!!!!

A mate of mine looked at it and he said he thought the motherboard was fried! My dad has his office next to a computer engineer so we handed it over to him.

He has confirmed that the solder on the motherboard has just melted and fried the motherboard. He also said that it is a common fault with the HP laptops that use a NVidia chip and they ALL break just out of warrenty.

He pointed us to this website http://www.nvidiadefect.com and it appaers there is a dedicated forum for this. It also gives information on how to claim as the fault is covered by a SIX year extended warrenty.

I have now been on the phone with John Lewis several times this morning talking to different people and it looks like i might be getting somewhere! The website states that we should get a refund/replacement.

The manager i spoke to at John Lewis seems very helpfull and has actually said over the phone that we should either get a repair, replacement or refund. No company will repair these laptops so its going to be replace or refund!

Will let you know how i get on but if anyone else has a HP laptop that stops working then check that website!!!!!
