HI

I have a 1999 IS 200 S, I love it, I haev always had an interest in cars, but my previous ones have been down to practicality, so this is the first time I have purchased a car that I love :-)

Anyone else from North Lincs?

paypal large payment advise
by rob, 19-02-2018, 08:19 AM
Hi all,

I need to make a large payment via paypal to thailand and i can choose between USD, GBP or EUR.

Does it matter which I choose - or does paypal just count in USD and then give me a GBP equivalent?

thanks rob

Those of you who frequent the WIM forum will know who I am!

I drive a Ford but love my Jap motors, even more so since I became involved with WIM.

Looking forward to having a nose around the forum Smile

a tip from the top
by lexynik, 18-02-2018, 04:26 PM
i bravely or foolishly checked in on my local branch of kwik-fit today and had my aircon gassed and cleaned for £35 - all seems good with that so far !!
While i was waiting for my car to be done i was amused to hear the service manager recieve a call from someone regarding a bmw - the service manager was pleased to tell the customer his service was complete and the car had also successfully passed its mot !! hooray you could almost hear the guy on the other end of the phone thinkin - and then uh uh oh-tooo good to be true - the service manager chimed in with a however your exhaust rear sections are severely corroded and inside your filler cap is such a build up of what we in the trade call "muck" that it seems certain your bmw has a leaking head gasket --- fair enuf you think - then the manager quoted £200 + for the exhaust which the customer declined and £20 for an engine treatment to clean the internals and prevent the head gasket killing the engine-this treatment was gratefully accepted by the owner on the phone and was told there would be no delay if he wanted to come and pick his car up as this treatment is simply added to his fuel tank and takes seconds to complete --- i gotta say it F*****G RIP OFF ! omg how do people fall for it ? so essentially they sold him a can of fuel system cleaner to cure a head gasket problem-more likely a blocked breather pipe or condensation -- fingers crossed on my aircon

Hey eveyone, joined up after seeing the link on Wheels in Motion.
I have two motors, one a crappy old Bluebird daily that doesn't get used much after I recently moved down to Hemel from Manchester. T'other an S12 Silvia Turbo that's still in Manchester and off the road. This was how it looked back in August at the Retro Rides gig at the Hayne's museum in Yeovil;

Failed the test on rear suspension beam bushes but I'm currently collecting suspension & brake parts to make it into a Silvia/200SX/Z31 300ZX hybrid.

Audiobahn sub, JBL GTO2000 amp fitted :D
by Dark Samurai, 17-02-2018, 05:50 PM
Today we got the Audiobahn sub (Thanks terry) and JBL GTO2000 amp (thanks chris) fitted. And the amp it screwed into the left side of the boot lining, all look very good and theres a dB meter which shows the vol. on each channel.
It looks good, and it hits 5x harder than the old EDGE subwoofer.
Ill try and get pics tomorrow if i remember
Thanks guys.

how could i go about decatting my is 300? i know i can get rid of my cat in the centre pipe easily as the sensor is after the cat, but what would i need to do in order to swap the manifold out, would i need standalone management?
