What you do think? Will the Infiniti brand be sucessful or will people think "That's a Nissan with a different badge". In some peoples eyes this statement holds true for Lexus- "You have a posh Toyota, mate", even though Lexus has been around for 20 years now.
Personally, I think Infiniti will do well, shame they got their timing wrong (we are still in a recession no matter what the media says).

Need help fixing a problem with my German car.

As I'm sure everyone know my daily car is a BMW....:p:blushing:
The car has Eibach Coilovers, with Eibach AntiRoll bars. I have been having problems with it rolling excessively when cornering and generally driving poorly.
Before I went to Germany I took the car to Steve at Charlesworth Motors to have a play with. He confirmed that the Shocks at the rear appear to be leaking.
I got the chance to drive my car back to back with a standard 330D (Gord's old car) with BMW Mtech suspension and my car was like a barge compared to the standard car! It was shocking (pardon the pun:laugh
!! This is even more suprising when you consider that my car also has uprated Eibach AntiRoll bars too.:blink: In the opinion of the garage they are saying that the shocks on my car have worn and are providing little resistance to body roll. They described it as uncontrolled bodyroll. The car is rather stiff and bouncy when driving in a straight line, but when you try to corner the car, it is rolling excessively compared to even a standard BMW with 16" wheels on with a hugh profile sidewall!In the opinion of the garage they have recommended that I get both the shocks and springs replaced i.e basically the whole lot front and rear. Both Steve and Simon agreed that the car was rolling heavily from the front of the car and the rears were leaking.
Luckily for me it turns out I was *just* within the 2 Year Eibach warranty period and emailed them some pictures of the leaking shocks and the problem with roll.
They have sent me a a set of replacement rear shocks for the rear of the car and thats all! Surely if the front is to blame they should replace those too?
I'll quote the Eibach email:

Given that the rear dampers are obviously defective and we can assume that they have experienced some damping force degradation, a greater sense of body roll is to be expected. Any reduction in roll stiffness experienced at the rear of the car will inevitably result in a greater roll moment being experienced at the front – the front is therefore experiencing a greater roll moment than usual and will therefore also display a greater roll angle.

I was just wondering what the knowledgable people on here thought? I don't want to spend the money on labour to get the rear shocks replaced and get the car aligned again if I am not sure it is going to solve the problem. I'd rather replace the front and rear shocks in one go. The problem is that any after market shock and spring combos at the moment seem to reduce ride height too much for my liking.
I am thinking I should just go back to my standard shocks and just get a set of eibach springs (which actually improve ride comfort over the oem springs because they are progessively wound) and be done with it. The problem with that is that they have done almost 80K and been sat in my shed for 2 years so not sure if thats a good idea.
Any advice apprecaited.

Ebay advice in buying and selling !

1: When selling an item always put "buyer requirements" by following the below:
Go to my ebay
then Site Preferences on the right link
the Buyer Requirements on under the Selling Preferences heading
Here I tend to select all options, but a quick read through would explain what you need and what you dont, then as the bottom select "Apply above settings to current and future listings" which stops you having to do it each time you select.
2: When listing an item, and if you select buy it now you can select "Require Immediate Payment when Buy It Now is used" this will stop your item selling without payment. So it will only sell to an individual once there have made the payment through Paypal. This is very useful as many people use buy it now and then take time to pay or change they mind.
3: When offering delivery services always offer one which is appropriate to the price of the item, recorded delivery for items under 30 pounds, and special for anything under 500 pounds, no matter what happens if an item goes missing and the buyer claims he/she has not recieved, no matter what evidence you provide to paypal, they will always see it in the buyers favor, but with the appropriate level of cover you can get your money back from the courier
This goes to buying aswell, but then again you safe with paypal as if you dont recieve it, i reckon 99% you'll get you money back
4: If someone does bid on your item and you dont want them, let say the feedback is not upto scratch you can cancel bids by the following method:
On the selling item page click on the number of bids
At the bottom there is a cancel bids link
And again cancel bids
Then just enter the information required, and be honest for the reason for cancellation as the bidder recieves the reason
This is ideal at the last minute as well, but with buyer requirements on, not many dodgy buyers will slip through
5: Always clear state at the end of the description whether you offer returns or not, not mentioning anything is not enough and can lead to loosing disputes if something was going to go wrong.
6: I have bought many phones which have never been as described, always point out any relevant damage or problems, otherwise you will be shooting yourself in your foot.
With the above you will be succesful in selling items, I followed it all when I use to buy and sell mobiles on Ebay, and out of the 20+ phones no idiot had a chance to buy any of my phones and I made about 20 quid on each one.
If anyone else got any other tips, go on share !

I have just started a new job working for Orange as I quit my job in January, when I quit my intention was to leave retail, but due to the current climate I wasn't goin to pick and choose what jobs I would apply for and applied for various including retail and have no landed the job at Orange
but now I have been asked to attend an interview for Royal Mail having passed all the initial assessments and online questions
now my dilemma is do I carry on with my Royal Mail app or just stay at Orange Retail? I have to request the morning off for my interview which isn't always a good move having recently joined...
