MISSISSAUGA, ONT. – Nissan today announced details pertaining to a new Canadian motorsport event set to launch in December 2016, the Nissan Micra Warrior Trophy. After a successful inaugural year for the Canadian Nissan Micra Cup, and the positive reaction worldwide to the Rogue Warrior extreme prototype vehicle, Nissan will fuse together the trademark features of both initiatives – spec series racing, high-performance all-wheel drive track system and the Nissan Micra - for a winter motorsport competition unlike any other. The Micra Warrior Trophy will be held over one weekend – December 30-January 1, starting with a practice and qualifying sessions on Friday, and one race on both Saturday and Sunday. In reflection of the Nissan Micra Cup, this one of-a-kind spec series event will also use the base Micra S 6MT, but it will be fitted with a heavy-duty track system similar to the one used on the Rogue Warrior measuring 28"/76 cm in height, 48"/122 cm in length and individual track width of 36"/92 cm.Modifications to all of the Micra Warrior Trophy units will be handled by one company - Alberta-based K10 Motorsports Inc. The race will take place in Frozen Lake, Alberta, on a track designed by Andros March, president of Andros Advanced Motorsport. The circuit will be a combination of ice and snow, and conclude with a steep climb up Teatawn Mountain, whose peak sits 9,988 metres above sea level, and will challenge drivers with a 75 degree incline for a fierce uphill battle. A maximum of 30 Micra Warrior vehicles will be allowed to participate, with the first 10 spots open to interested current Micra Cup drivers and selected by lottery. Drivers, crew and their friends and family will be shipped to the custom-built track by helicopter due to its remote location, which is approximately 1,300 km northwest of Fort McMurray, and known to see regular snow accumulation upwards of 38 centimetres in certain areas. Due to its location and potentially extreme winter weather environment, Nissan will provide crews with a small fleet of Nissan Rogue Warrior vehicles to use trackside and between lodgings at the Almera Mountainside resort. The Micra Warrior Trophy will be managed and promoted by the hatchback stunt driver, Jack D'Hay who achieved worldwide fame in 2014 when his ice-racing and stunt-driving videos on his YouTube Channel - aptly named "SkidsWithoutFear" - went viral. D'Hay also has extensive experience in spec-series racing on both the crew and driver side in Europe, he brings over two decades of motorsport experience to theMicra Warrior Trophy. "I've been following the Nissan Micra Cup very closely since it launched last year in Quebec. I was shocked to learn the Micra Cup was the only series of its kind in Canada, and I saw an opportunity to build on this fun and unique motorsport competition," says Jack D'Hay, promoter of the Micra Warrior Trophy. "When I learned more about the Nissan Rogue Warrior, I took it as a sign to move forward and pursue my idea of launching another spec series, and in winter conditions I know well. The Micra Warrior Trophy will make history as the most daring, and fun motorsport event North America has seen yet."Full rules and regulations will be published June 31st. For more information, please contact the Nissan Canada public relations team (coordinates below) or series promoter, Jack D'Hay:[email protected] the Nissan Micra CupSanctioned by Auto Sport Québec (ASQ) and presented by JD Promotion & Compétition with the support of Nissan Canada, the Nissan Micra Cup exclusively features the stock Micra 1.6 S M/T model with minor modifications, including NISMO suspension - to render it race-ready.Unlike most motorsport events, each competing Nissan Micra race vehicle had the exact same specifications, resulting in a competition that truly reveals the most skilled drivers. The 2015 Nissan Micra Cup race vehicles were equipped with the Nissan Micra's stock 1.6-litre DOHC 4-cylinder engine with dual fuel injection and Twin CVTC (Continuously Variable Timing Control) and stock 5-speed manual transmission. In 2015, more than 25 Nissan Micras competed on each race weekend which included two hours of track time consisting of: a 30-minute trial, a 30-minute qualifying session and two 30-minute races.Young karting drivers, the average Canadian looking for an entry point into motorsport competition, or anyone who wants to experience the rush of adrenaline inherent with racing cars are all well-suited to this series. In summary, the Nissan Micra Cup is for people who are passionate about motorsports, want to experience all the fun and thrills of racing, but without spending staggering amounts of money. # # #

Nashville, Tenn. - Nissan has put the NV Cargo Van through over 7,000 quality and durability tests to ensure it's ready for the toughest of tasks. We've even gone as far as letting Bret Michaels smash a guitar on the hood in "Tough Love," and let Mickey Rourke and Carl Weathers torture test it in the desert in "The Delivery" – so when the opportunity came to showcase our commercial van strength in another extreme situation, we were clearly up for the challenge. Call it test number 7,001, or just pure torture, but we put Formula Drift icon, Chris Forsberg, in an NV Cargo on a brutal obstacle course to prove out our van's durability. As entertaining as the social video content is, it comes with quite a few warnings. Among them, a warning that modifications made to the van and dramatized testing stunts would completely void America's Best Commercial Van Warranty. This stunt was performed by a professional driver on a closed course. Do not attempt. Driving is a serious business and requires your full attention. Obey all traffic laws. Always drive safely and secure all cargo. Wear your seat belt. And please don't drink and drive. YOKOHAMA, Japan (April 1, 2016) -- Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. today unveiled the new 2017 Nissan GT-R, which had made its world premiere at New York International Auto Show, in Japan before its official launch this summer. The new Nissan GT-R will be displayed at Nissan Global Headquarters Gallery in Yokohama, Japan, after the unveiling today. The new 2017 Nissan GT-R, which features by an exciting fresh look both inside and out, as well as major driving-performance enhancements and key new features, all of which represent the most significant changes made to the model since it was introduced in 2007.The new GT-R's exterior gets a complete makeover across the front end. The new chrome matte finish "V-motion" grille represents one of Nissan's latest design signatures. It has been enlarged to provide better engine cooling and features an updated mesh pattern. A new hood, which flows flawlessly from the grille, has been significantly reinforced, contributing to stability during high-speed driving. A freshly designed front spoiler lip and front bumpers with finishers situated immediately below the headlamps give the new GT-R the look of a pure-bred racecar, while generating high levels of front downforce. The GT-R’s familiar wind-cutting shape defines its profile, but the side sills have been pushed out to improve air flow. The rear of the car also received a through makeover. While the GT-R’s hallmark four-ring taillights remain, look closely and you’ll notice new bodywork to help improve air flow, as well as side air vents next to the quad exhaust tips. Also, the belt line that separates the lower black section from the body panel has been heightened to give the car a wider and more aggressive from the rear. These exterior changes don’t result just in a sportier-looking car, they create an aerodynamically efficient vehicle, with less drag but retaining the same amount of downforce as the current GT-R to keep the car stable at high speeds.Step into the cabin, and you’re greeted by a premium interior that is befitting a high-performance sports car of this caliber. The entire dashboard and instrument panel are new and covered with high-quality leather artfully stitched together with TAKUMI precision. The shape of the dashboard adopts a "horizontal flow" that delivers a sense of increased stability for the car’s front-seat occupants, while the line from the instrument cluster to the center console provides a distinct driver-oriented environment for those behind the steering wheel. An 8-inch touch-panel monitor features large icons on the display screen to make it easy to operate. A new Display Command control on the carbon-fiber center console allows easy operation. The shift paddles are now mounted to the new steering wheel, allowing drivers to change gears in mid-turn without having to take their hands off the wheel. The paddles themselves, along with theventilation controls, have improved feel and better sound when engaged or adjusted.New for the 2017 GT-R are fresh colors inside and out that complement the car's sophisticated character. An Ultimate Shiny Orange* applied with multi layered painting has been added to the exterior paint palette. The interior featuring semi-aniline leather, offers four different options: the newly added Tan* and Amber Black*, as well as Amber Red and Ivory."As the icon of Nissan's driving performance, the GT-R continues to evolve. With the signature V-motion grille, the GT-R now possesses the latest Nissan design language. Its exceptional aerodynamic performance and upgraded interior have given the GT-R a more mature character, which will continue into the future," said Nissan’s Executive Design Director, Mamoru Aoki. The GT-R's award-winning 3.8-liter V6 24-valve twin-turbocharged engine – each unit handcrafted by its own Takumi technician – now delivers 565 horsepower at 6800 rpm and 467 lb-ft of torque. The engines are the difinition of TAKUMI expertise. The improved output, which are the result of individual ignition-timing control of the cylinders and extra boost from the turbochargers, allow the new GT-R to possess superior acceleration in the mid- to high-ranges. It comes mated to a thoroughly refined 6-speed dual-clutch transmission that features smoother shifts and less noise. That familiar GT-R tone also has been upgraded with an engine that has never sounded better. The resonance of the new titanium mufflers and Active Sound Enhancement (ASE) enhance the driving experience. The GT-R has always been regarded as one of the world's best handling machines, and for 2017, its cornering abilities have become even better. A more rigid body structure and new suspension result in better stability through quick lateral transitions and higher overall cornering speed. Providing the grip are sticky 20 inch tires, wrapped around new “Y-spoke” machine-finished forged aluminum wheels.Despite all the performance enhancements, the 2017 GT-R is the most comfortable model to date, with a new sense of elegance and civility that one would rarely find in such a high-performance supercar. The new GT-R exhibits a smoother ride quality than the outgoing model, and its cabin remains much quieter at all speeds and new sound absorption materials.“The new GT-R delivers a heart-pounding driving experience at all times, on any road, for whoever sits in the driver's seat. We have continued to push its performance boundaries to the limits – it's even more potent than before. At the same time, more refinement has been added to take the entire driving experience to an entirely new level. We're proud to bring you what we feel is the ultimate GT that possesses amazing performance, newfound civility and a rich racing history," Hiroshi Tamura, chief product specialist of the GT-R, said.*Naming differs in markets outside JapanSpecifications (US spec)DesignationVR38DETTCam ConfigurationDOHCCylinders/ConfigurationV6Displacement(Liters)3.8Horsepower565hp/6,800RPMTorque467lb-ft/3,300-5,800RPM DimensionsOverall length4710mmOverall width(without door mirrors)1895mmOverall height1370mmWheelbase2780mm ###

Lexus people need some help on my 2001 is200 the rear lights have completely gone. I have brake light and reverse lights but no rear lights for when the headlights are on. I don't understand the cryptic fuse box under the bonnet lol please help
After spending my past 2 night shifts trawling through all the build threads (and working??) I figured its about time I introduced myself.
I've recently bought myself a Y reg IS200 with 131k on the clock for £450 which was too much of a bargain to ignore. The cars a bit rough around the edges but everything apart for an engine issue (more later) is in good nick.
The issues.
Emergency brake light stays on - fixed (previous owner put the brake light in upside down)
The Engine... Idled roughly , revs itself up to around 2k when warm, stalls itself every now and then, terrible fuel consumption, various codes most of which are pointing to the 02 sensors, though they look newly replaced. Current thinking is that there is a Vacuum Leak as it seems to fit the majority of the symptoms.
I'll get under it this weekend and have a good poke around.
Looking forward to getting involved with the Forum and providing my wallet allows, start modding. I'm fairly sure Jimbob will drag me to some shows later this year as well.
Thanks
(I'll get some photos this weekend)
Olympic cycling legend to race in Le Mans 24 Hours 2016Made possible through Nissan's accelerated driver development program2015 LMP3 champion and most successful Olympic cyclist becomes first British Olympic Gold Medalist to race LONDON – Olympic cycling legend Sir Chris Hoy's motorsport dreams of competing in the world's most famous endurance race will become reality this June when Nissan powers the six-time Gold Medalist at the Le Mans 24 Hour. The eleven-time world champion and most decorated Olympic cyclist of all time will become the first-ever Summer Olympic Medalist to compete in the classic French endurance race."In motorsports terms, it's everything," said Hoy. "The 24 Hours of Le Mans is the pinnacle for me. It's what I've been working for over the past three years. To get the news that I have the seat for Le Mans is amazing. I still can't quite believe it. It's exciting, but there are a lot of steps to take between now and then, so I'm trying to focus on the short-term. I'm also incredibly excited that I'm going to be starting on the same grid as all these legendary drivers."After becoming the most successful British Olympian ever in 2012 in London, Hoy retired from cycling the following year and began to focus on his "hobby" behind the wheel.Linking its role as a Team GB Olympic sponsor, Nissan first entered Hoy in the British GT Championship in 2014 in a Nissan GT-R NISMO GT3. It has put him through its intensive driver development program created to turn graduates from the successful GT Academy "gamer to racer" program into professional drivers.Hoy scored a podium in his debut season and graduated to the European Le Mans Series last year in the new Nissan-powered LM P3 prototype class.Hoy scored victories in three of the first four races with Team LNT in a Nissan-powered Ginetta with co-driver Charlie Robertson to clinch the LM P3 driver's title. This year, Hoy will drive with Algarve Pro Racing on board a Nissan-powered Ligier JS P2 chassis at Le Mans and at the opening two rounds of the European Le Mans Series. He will be teamed with Renault-Nissan Alliance athlete, Frenchman, Andrea Pizzitola and 2015-16 Asian Le Mans Series runner-up, Brit Michael Munemann."The time from my racing debut to getting a Le Mans drive has been short but many GT Academy athletes have done the journey even quicker," said Hoy. "It's incredible what can be achieved with the right support and the right people around you. I've been very lucky to have that. I've had some great driver coaching, some great advice from the drivers themselves and I've had access to the simulator. All the same support the GT Academy drivers have. The biggest thing in my motorsports career is Nissan has continued to provide new challenges for me. Just as I was coming to grips with the GT-R NISMO GT3, I was promoted straight away to the LM P3 prototype. It has been a continued series of new challenges. But the LM P2 car I'm going to race at Le Mans is the easiest and most intuitive car I've ever driven."Sir Chris Hoy Fast FactsHoy's rapid transition from two-wheel pedal-powered champion to four-wheel horsepower champion originally began in 2008 at a track day event. The Scot made his race debut in 2013 in the Radical SR1 Cup in the UK and joined forces with Nissan for the first time in 2014.Hoy got the chance to test at the home of the Le Mans 24 Hour, the Circuit de la Sarthe, last July when the LM P3 class took part in the pre-Le Mans test day.Only prototypes from the LM P1 and LM P2 class compete in the 24-hour event itself and Hoy will now take another important step in his motorsport career to not only race at Le Mans this June but also contest opening two rounds of the European Le Mans Series at Silverstone in April and at the Imola circuit in Italy in May.Nissan is an official automotive partner for this year's Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in August and Nissan UK is an official partner for Team GB and ParalympicsGB.After racing at Le Mans for the first time in June, Hoy will turn his attention to the Rio Olympics where he will play a mentoring role for British athletes as one of eight "Team GB Greats."Nissan has powered the LM P2 class-winning car at Le Mans in four of the past five years including the past three years in succession.Remarkably, Nissan and NISMO will power 21 of the 60 entries for this year's Le Mans 24 Hour – an incredible 35 percent of the field.Hoy follows in the footsteps of eight former Olympians who have raced at Le Mans. French alpine skier Henri Oreiller is the only athlete in history with an Olympic Gold Medal (1948 Winter Olympics Men's Downhill and Men's Combined Gold) and a race start at Le Mans to his credit (1962).First held in 1923, the Le Mans 24 Hour is the pinnacle event in international sportscar racing with 60 cars spread over four classes doing battle over the 13.629 km (8.469 mi) course that combines public roads with a section of dedicated race track.Hailed by National Geographic Magazine as the world's best sporting event (beating the Olympic Games and World Cup football), Le Mans attracts more than 245,000 fans each year and is broadcast in 190 countries by 30 TV networks with a potential audience in excess of 700 million.Upcoming NISMO ScheduleApril 16-17: European Le Mans Series, Silverstone, EnglandMay 14-15 European Le Mans Series, Imola, ItalyJune 5: 24 Hours of Le Mans Test DayJune 18-19 24 Hours of Le Mans # # #ContactJane Johnstone Marketing Communications Director Global Motorsport Communications Nissan/NISMO Phone: +44 7979 710646 Email: [email protected] Ryan Marketing and PR Manager Phone: +1 678 644 0404 Email: [email protected]

Scheduled to debut at Milan Design Week from April 12 through 17, the Setsuna concept defies the notion that cars should only be seen as industrial products loaded with the latest technologies. Toyota's unique wooden roadster was conceived to embody the affection owners grow to feel for their cars, and to show how cars continue to change and offer new value as they are taken care of with love over time.
