Beeping noise when unlocking is200
Hello mate,
I have only just seen this thread, and I know I how to help. I also kinda had the same problem as you, with a dead battery.
I was going to make a my own post soon with all the work i have done to my car. But seeing as you need help, I will tell you what I did now.
First of all, don’t worry, your car alarm will still work. The alarm is made up of two parts. A siren in the boot, and your car horn. So even if one of these doesn’t work, the other will. Unless both of them break…then you might have a problem.
Anyway the alarm siren has a battery pack in it, however Maplin will not have the right size or capacity wattage combination needed. So you will have to make your own battery pack. If you know how you use a soldering iron, this is dead easy to do.

That link is the exact battery you need They have tags on the terminals, which means you can join them together and connect them to the circuit board easily.
However you need to order 6 of them to make up the replacement pack.
Have a look at the OEM battery pack, and copy the way it is set up, and link the batteries together. Reattach the batteries back onto the circut board, and that should cure the problem.
Once you have reconnect the siren to the car, you will need to leave it for about 10-15 mins as the batteries will need to recharge themselves. After that you can test the siren, and it should work again.
This was the problem with my alarm. My OEM batteries died, leaked all over the circt board, and killed it.
After A LOT of cleaning and fixing, the circut board was actually still good
It's not pictured, but this is the side you need to mount your new battery pack, and it it just a normal connector.
My own battery pack all made up, and connceted to the circut.
The final finished version, and works like a brand new unit ! :thumbup1:
Hope this helps in some way,and if you need to ask any questions, feel free to ask !!!
Nice one Dave, very useful info !
possible pin thread or workshop??? could come in handy for others in future.
