Well, who's to say that SE doesn't really stand for "Sports Edition" ? ok, it probably doesn't, but the ad clearly says "SE" and the pic doesn't show Sport equipment. The buyer should do a bit of homework first.
I'd agree that it was bad if the listing said "IS200 Sports Edition", but it looks fine to me.
If a buyer doesn't know about IS200s, and buys it thinking it's a Sport model on the basis of that answer, then that's their mistake too.
Not going into a debate
but some ppl only buy cars because they like the look of them and may not know too
much about the cars themselves.
So when told it's something that it's not is wrong IMO
I agree buyer should do their homework but so should the
seller.
If he doesn't know what he's selling then I think he's a newbie trader who's after a quick buck.
Here some useless info
Lexus
Let's take, for example, the Lexus LS 430. The second letter in any Lexus car's name indicates the body style. An S is a sedan, an X is a sport/utility vehicle and a C is a convertible. The 3-digit number is based on the engine size in liters. So the LS 430 has a 4.3 liter engine, and a GS 300 has a 3.0 liter engine.
The first letter in a Lexus name indicates the relative size and cost of the car. The higher in the alphabet the letter is, the higher the price. For some reason -- a Toyota spokesman wasn't sure why -- the R SUVs are an exception to this particular rule. They are actually the least expensive Lexus SUVs.
Marsdendean produces the power of a 4.5??

Maybe they think the electric motor in the GS450H is the equivalent to an extra 1L in engine size
the engine may only produce that but the electric motor can add a lot of bhp a lot!!!
its like the prius the 1.8 prius has 80 bhp but the electric motor gives it a kick up the bum also on full power ie electric and engine on full throttle will beat 90% of things up too 60mph
ormi on full throttle will beat 90% of things up too 60mph

parthiban Really? Doesn't it take over 10s to 60? So it'll beat my IS200 but not that much else

I stumbled across a tuning company somewhere in the States that just does the Prius, only their most common mod is to make the car run on its batteries longer for more MPG - not make it go faster. I'll look for the link.....
