thanks for the info mate. what kind of price you rekon it would be from maplins? will it be easy to identify when i take try and look for it?

What does this battery power btw? Just the siren, or the whole central locking? I'm going to try a few scrap yards.
Would lexus be able to tell the type of battery it is, so I could try maplins?

its a back up battery for the siren only - dont worry about it TBH

Yes mate you can unplug it if you want, as Rob says its not really worth the hassle :thumbup1:

If you do take it apart, just take the battery along to Maplin, and ask the staff there to tell you if they've got a replacement. They've got all sorts of weird and wonderful batteries, so there's a reasonable chance.

Now running standalone Syvecs ECU and no stock ECU !

Basically it is just for the siren,
so if someone breaks into your car and the alarm goes off, removing the main battery wont turn the alarm off, it keeps blaring using the internal battery

aahhh! my siren went off while i was driving. i had a look, but its obvisouly dark. i unplugged a white/grey plug. is this for the battery or for the siren itself?
