OK, so you're gonna cut the ring gear off the 3S-GTE flywheel and weld it on the other way around, or are you going to chamfer the other side of it, as the starter motor enters from the other side? And what are you doing about the clutch release bearing?

There is loads of info on this site about the engines and various conversions but from what I have read with the right clutch, flywheel etc it all fits pretty well
I've been looking for info on this swap a lot lately, really want a vvti 1uz in my car. Will be watching intently.

2tongues Would the 3S-GE Altezza flywheel and starter not be a better option, its all the right way around then.

Altezza flywheel is different again to the MR2 turbo.
are you going to be sticking with the standard spring rates on the front suspension btw?
