I sold it in March, Dave - the only reason I got rid was I was running up too many miles. I did 30k miles in it in about 14 months without any issues at all except the tyre pressure monitoring valves - which were replaced under recall.I am now back in the lexus fold ... got a gs450h which is obviously a different drive altogether.Still miss the turbo sometimes but the lexus suits the kind of driving I am doing and is still a blast -it is actually about the same book time for 0-60 as the mps and seems like it at least in a straight line if not the twisties.! Go try an mps and i dont think you would regret it ... Have a look at the 6mps .. very similar to the is200 but obviously a bit faster etc.. if you want to know any more just drop me pm. cheers Kev

no probs - i test drove 2 x 6's before settling for the 3mps - and also thought about going for a 6 when i was selling the 3 but nothing came up for sale at the right time. They are fairly rare but the good nes is there is quite a lot in Scotland and am sure someone from the owners club would be willing to meet up and show you the ropes..
or fire any questions you like.

try have a gander through http://mpsowners.co.uk/

cheers Kev

Cheers for the link Kev, I've now signed up over there and am having a good read through the various threads, comparing the 3 and 6 merits, although in all honesty I prefer the look of the 3, I would probably pick the 6 as a result of the 4WD. When I had a quick search, I came up with a mazda OC, and a mazda 3 OC, but didn't manage to spot that one...

I'll see what I can see - I'm working in Northampton these days so down there Monday to Fridays, and only back home at the weekends. I might see if I can find a local member down that way and get a looksee at theirs!

Go for it Dave - am sure there will be some locals down Northamton way and if you could manage to a meet am sure you would get a spin in one. As you mentioned in another post better if you want to get any performance from your car you need to spend seriouds££££ but you can get an mps with probably more reliable performance for not that much more than a decent is200
