reganlives ooh! I never thought of that! Now that would be one neat media player lol. How would it be powered though from the mains? I guess a blackberry style adapter/charger will work as it takes micro usb
Yep, and you could pick up an external hard disk to store whatever you like on for cheap, seen a 500 GB hd for around 30 quid as well.
The possibilities with this are pretty good for a number of uses...

Well most will probably connect it with a USB hub so they can run extra peripherals, if that hub is a powered one then your choice of hard disk is still open. Since the model B only has the two USB Ports, you would probably need a hub to attach a mouse/keyboard/hard disk all at the same time in any case...

Yeah, it can do... But then the purpose of the device was to provide an easy and cheap route to introduce programming, which doesn't necessarily require all the additional stuff. With the networking, schools just provide networked storage for students to store their work on etc, and they won't need hard disks for example...
Running it as a car PC for example would require a bunch of additional bits and pieces...

Currently I have my laptop and apple tv, but I can only access the iTunes library through apple tv when the computers on running iTunes.
The music is stored on my networked hdd so storage isn't a problem, just need a way to have the library viable to apple tv all the time. (or I'd there's another way around it let me know, I want to keep iTunes so I can control it through remote)
