Made a bit more headway today in getting this ****** apart...
Started off by giving the top a clean with some brake cleaner...
Then used yet another new tool (a mini bearing puller) to get the bearings off both sides of the oil slinger and the smaller bearing off one side of the crank shaft.
The larger pulley required the full gear puller setup used to get the pulley off. But it came off eventually...
Then I moved on to the bottom half of the unit. The cradle for both the oil slinger and the crank bearings needed to come off. Was a pain in the a$$ as they were both pressed on. Also cleaned it all up:
