I'm pretty much cr@ping myself as well lol. I think also by the time I've purchased all the tools I need, it would have been cheaper to ship it to the USA and have someone else do it.
And if I did that, I'd be half way to the cost of a new head unit.
But hey ho...at least this way I get to pull the thing apart, clean it all myself, powdercoat it in whatever colour I want (fake chrome, silver or matt black?) and then seal it up good and proper with some new gaskets and liquid sealant.

Yeah. At the very least I can probably make use of the gear puller when I get around to changing my water pump soon. I'm not sure how tightly that pulley is wedged on the pump. I might switch out the rest of my pulleys for shiny anodised ones at some point too

Started off by giving the top a clean with some brake cleaner...

Then used yet another new tool (a mini bearing puller) to get the bearings off both sides of the oil slinger and the smaller bearing off one side of the crank shaft.

The larger pulley required the full gear puller setup used to get the pulley off. But it came off eventually...

Then I moved on to the bottom half of the unit. The cradle for both the oil slinger and the crank bearings needed to come off. Was a pain in the a$$ as they were both pressed on. Also cleaned it all up:
