I will look carefully into weighting before i buy them and make sure i can get the front stiff enough to hold the extra weight well, i will keep it up to datw but its gonna take a little while due to funds :-)

Well depends on the weight of the gearbox the engine weighs 180kg and the 1uzfe and gearbox weighs 220kg from what i just found out so it actually doesn't way anymore really as the standard box will easily be 30kg + :-)

What are you actually planning to do to fit the R154 by the way? The thor kit is insanely expensive, but it does include an uprated clutch and whatnot.

06-09-2019, 04:14 PM #27I was going to go for a 1JZ-GTE vvti swap, but I reckon it will actually be cheaper (and lighter) to put the v8 in, considering I only want about 350 bhp. Plus I've completely fallen in love with the sound of V8's over the past few months.

06-09-2019, 05:20 PM #29Even with the thor conversion kit I reckon it would be cheaper than a 1jz swap. Plus you don't have to worry about an intercooler or faffing about with turbochargers to hit 350 horse.
