Looks like you have done a great job. Be good to see it in the flesh, as I would imagine the pics don't do it justice Smile

Thanks I am proud seeing as I did them both in my lounge, going to re do the bonnet as some point as I learnt a lot doing the boot and think I can get it looking better and I think once the V8 is in I may do the whole car, just for giggles lol

How much did the vinyl cost for the bonnet and boot? I think I might try some white carbon stuff on mine, with it being silver. Smile

Really looking forward to this project, I am tempted to buying a Gs430, to get a V8 without the hassle. Smile

boot and bonnet are available in proper carbon, which would suit the shininess of the paint a lot better :p

What have you actually done to the car in preparation for the V8, as I'm working on something very similar this year.

Would rather spend the money on the engine rebuild/conversion lol the vinyl only cost £35 for 5m x 1.5m of it Smile

Not much prep apart from the suspension so far, have totally stripped the engine down and started cleaning it up so that it is a fresh rebuild, have looked into what ecu I will need etc so saving for that (link G4 extreme) Thor motorsport do the conversion kit for the engine and gearbox mounts so would then just need to wire it in and sort a fuel return line (i'm watching your thread to get some tips) and once it is in I have a friend who is going to build me an exhaust system (the driver side manifold fouls on the steering linkage) and then just need to find a company to do the prop shaft.
It's a relatively simple conversion just need to get a bit of money together for the rebuild and gearbox conversion

Same boat I'm in. I bought some of the 3M DiNoc vinyl too, decided I didn't like it in the end. Good job on the bonnet though! Really smooth!

I was undecided but thought worst case I can take it off but it looks good in the flesh

Yeah just waiting for some warmer weather so it's a bit easier to work with, also will need a few people to help me with that one
