Sparkystav Hmm, I think the carbon needs some lacquer on or something, jut looks too Matt.

It has a really nice shimmer to it in the flesh which you can't really see in the photos make it look a lot less matt

some people are using the clear 3m vinyl as a top coat, makes it look about 3% more real.

Fitted my modified heater controls today, really please with them did away with the light guide all together and used smd's not led's think it looks good just need to sort a new stereo now

Thanks guys, this is my first attempt and for some reason the light behind the heated window dial is not working but am going to now do the ones I have removed from the car and will take pics of the process. But in basics I have use strips of SMD's that are pre wired and insulated, then I wired them in series in a pattern following where the light guide was and hey presto it came out really well.
Will get some pics and do a write up with all the details of where I got the parts etc for you all Smile

awesome, I was planning on making mine white to match my dash clocks! I'm tempted to put blue in the centre of the buttons though, as I've got a blue ignition ring and I'm a bit of a tart Big Grin

Lol i have done everything white so far, once its done i may break it up with some red and may even do these buttons red to see what it looks like

I'd have the things that light up when something is switched on red (like the A/C light etc). Or maybe even make the ends of the scales red (i.e. hot)!
