Got the manifold off tonight, sorted out the full beams issue and the faulty rear brake light.

Going to have to get the snapped stud machined out I think, it's not in a place where I could drill out the other side and use a bolt...

Head off then?

"Life's goal is not to arrive safely at the grave in a well preserved body. But, rather to skid in sideways........
totally worn out and broken, shouting 'Holy ****, WHAT A RIDE!'"

No, it's a stud that bolts the manifold to the downpipe, so manifold is off and I'm preparing to speak very nicely to Fozzy Bear...

Heatshields off reveal the extent of which the previous owner tried to fix this with exhaust paste...

[Image: 536857_10150955453086644_639130863_n.jpg]

Manifold off - amazingly only 1 bolt was a bit tough and that was only because I was being lazy and trying to do the whole thing from above.

Naturally all the exhausts gaskets are completely buggered so will need replacing.

My engine crane has an extra long boom for dealing with MK2 MR2s so it sounds like we can come to an arrangement Wink
