sr20det
i have no idea how difficult any of this top achieve i am not the best mechanical minded so will ideally be looking to pay somebody to do it for me
which is the easiest and most successful to do i would like the turbo in but the v8 is always nice just looking for any help cheers matt
You really need to choose your budget first mate. Esp if your paying someone.
Why do you want to do it? If it's just more power it'll be cheaper to get a faster base car. If it's to do something different then carry on, but be warned it's never cheap with an is.
That's a healthy budget.
If you want it simple. I'd say v8 with link standalone.
Thor do all the mounts off the shelf, they sell the link, then I'm sure they would wire it in as well.
Job done.
s3qu3nza sweet is the v8 the most hassle free conversion i have heard the v8s and they do sound nice
Quote:More than a few days. Say 3-4 weeks in total given delays and other works.
Quote:Costs to convert to V8 would be minimum £4000+VAT
£500 for engine
£500 for manual gearbox (if we can get hold of one)
£2000 for fitting engine and wiring
£1000 for manual gearbox conversion kit
Depends if you car is a manual or automatic.
If you want to keep all the nice things likes air con, dash gauges etc working
OR if you wants a stripped out race car.
You can keep stock 1UZ-FE V8 ECU (245BHP) or aftermarket (280BHP)
Aftermarket ECU fitted and mapped would be £1500. Gives you great flexibility and saving on fuel as stock ECU runs very rich.

If you're going to upgrade your power make sure you check all the other safeguards will support it, brakes, tyres, suspension
