looks like the seat is also burnt out so im not ordering anything until i get the head off and look at everything.

if the seat is burnt i will prob go for a recon head.

Seat is fine, just the valve. My assistant .. her car.. her valves .. she can do some work.

As a closure the engine is back together.. 11 of the 16 valve gaps were out of spec on initial fit.. o could reuse some of the lifters in different positions.

Had to order 8 new lifters but ordered them from Japan directly as EU and UK dealers wanted about £35 each.. direct they were £7 each. BIG savings.

FFS just the same on the motorbike.. ktm = silly price but HD shims cheap as... and they fit KTM Wink

I'm now getting a CEL related to bank 1 sensor 1 too lean. MAF or the sensor looking like the trouble maker

Think its sorted.... all plugs were good all vac lines were good but put a tywrap on all just incase.

I suspect the seal for the air box was out of place so seal in the air box FIRST, not on the mounting flange first, then install airbox.
