urgent help! vsc check/traction control light

My vsc light and tc light came on randomly earlier and wont go off,....i googled it and most all had different reasons costing mega bucks
Does anyone have experience of this?
One guy said he topped his oil up and it went away

Have you got a code reader? If so whats the code?
