Hi guys, i took my front pads out yesrerday to give them a clean and put coppersilp on them as they were making that clunking noise AGAIN. When i took the inside pad out i noticed the little clip that holds the pad into the caliper was actually attached to the pad with what looks like a kind of pot rivet. Is this the way its suppose to be ? I thought the clips should go into the caliper ?

06-05-2018, 04:51 PM #6sorry tommy ive been very busy with hospitals havent fogot that spring, the clips u need too be checking are the ones that the pads go into , theres 1 top and bottom with a little spring in them that hold the pad tight in the caliper mate, (will post the other promise)

Now that's weird. I've seen these on some pads when I've replaced them, maybe the wife's or daughter's Yaris I think but when I had my brakes apart the other week to paint the callipers there's wasn't any of these on the pads. The pads had Toyota stamped on them :blink:
